Their momma was discovered but a hotel dumpster, nearly ready to pop! Just two days after taking her into our rescue, she gave birth.

These boys are everything and pair of kittens should be... fun-loving, snuggle bugs with just a hint of mischief. After all, they are just 12 weeks old! Noah & Ziggy keep each other out of trouble, they groom one another and are purrfectly adaptable.

I'm Ziggy and my foster momma tells people that I'm "a sweet little fireball 🔥 with the cutest long face and muzzle." I LOVE to play. 🪶🧶Whenever I'm playing with my brother or toys I like to emit a little trill-purr. That way everyone always knowsvwhere I am and who I'm playing with (or tormenting 😹)! I live to play... I like to drag balls around in my mouth and will try to meow at the same time! It makes people giggle! 🤭I do take a little time to warm up but then watch out! 💙 I love to be pet, especially on my belly. 💕 I've got a great appetite and love a good wet food in the morning and will continue eating long after everyone else. 🍲 My foster family absolutely adores me, it's hard not to, if I do meow so myself! 😻 Now, I'll let my brother tell you about himself!

My name is Noah and my momma SAYS I'm a "trouble maker but in the best sense of the words!" 😼 I'm just pure fun and all heart! ❣️ I'm a party cat 🎉 but at the same time the sweetest best behaved little guy you'll ever meet! I'm the ring leader in finding fun things to do. I'm not naughty I just like to have fun. I also LOVE to play. You might say I LIVE to play. Balls, toy mice 🧶🐀 and especially wand toys - you name it, I love it! You should see how high i can jump! I'll grab that worm on the feather toy then land on my feet every time. It's a talent, really! I jump as high or higher than any other 🐈 and I strut around like I knows it! I'm VERY sure of myself. 💞🧎‍♀️I love to hang out with my foster mom on top of her books 📚 while she's studying because she pets me. I will purr & purr! I just can't get enough pets and love. I love a good meal. 🐟 But more than anything, I love my brother Ziggy the most! And, he loves me too! We are great together. Ask anyone and they will tell you that two kittens are always easier (better) than one. 😸😹 Now, just try to tell us apart!

Bonus! We are both great with little children, men, women and other cats! 🤸👨👱‍♀️ 🐈‍⬛️ Not sure about dogs, but we're pretty chill so we can acclimate as long as the dog is respectful!

My name is Molly and I am THE sweetest little black and white Tux with a little bit of spice. I'm only 18 months old and was rescued when I was 8 weeks when my mama, an outdoor community cat, lost her life. 💔 I'm a very social girl and curious about what the humans are up to! 🤸‍♀️🐈‍⬛️🕺 I like to get right in the middle of whatever they are doing! Every now and again, I can be a little mischievous but the older I get, the more I mellow. It just means I need a kitty friend because I have so much fun with my current kitty housemates! 😺😸 I love to play with my toy mice 🐁 and bat around her toy balls 🧶. I would be a fantastic addition to any cat-loving household. I have not
been around small children or dogs but if they were nice to me, I'm sure Id be nice back, as long as you SLOWLY introduced us! 💞

I'm Rascal, the most handsome 2 year-old cat with the softest grey fur and a very expressive face you will ever meet! 😻 I can be a little goofy!I really like to be pet and will let you know when I want attention. 😹 I really love my sister, Jinx, and would give anything to stay with her!!! 🐈‍⬛️🩷🐈 I am the more social cat of the pair and I get along well with all other cats! issue and I require special food called Hill's Science Diet Urinary Care c/d Multicare Stress and an occasional injection of Solensia. 💉 I promise I'm a good boy and I just don't want you to turn your back on me because of this! I don't have any experience with small children or dogs but I'm a pretty great boy so I'm sure we'd get along great as long as you SLOWLY introduced us to each other!

Everyone wants a kitten or a Maine C**n... well, here's your chance! 🤞🐾

Hi, I'm Charlie! 😻
I'm a 3-year-old beautiful Maine C**n mix that found myself homeless but I really don't remember how, or why! 🙀 Furr-tunately, I happened upon the right door who let me in and has been helping me ever since! But, I still want a 🏡 to call my own.

Like any long-haired 🐈, I require a little more maintenance to ensure i don't get matted furr, but I actually love being brushed!

People say that I have the sweetest meow and that I'm a perfect gentleman with the litter 📦. I'm not at all a picky eater. 😹

Crinkle and kick toys are the BEST! 💞

I'm a sweet boy who loves to be held and loves cuddles, just watch my cues. 😼 If I tense up and my tail twitches, set me down for a bit. That means I need a minute to decompress.

None of us are purrfect, right? My only flaw is that my previous owners likely taught me to play with hands 👐 when I was little, so I sometimes forget they aren't toys 🧶🪶 and will bite if I think you're playing, or if I get overstimulated.

I would do really well in a family with adults or older children who can give me the ❤️ and training that I need.

I think I would get along with other cats as long as they could stand their ground. I just want to play and be friends! 👀 Sometimes I'm a bit too aggressive with my older foster cats, but maybe if they put me in my place I wouldn't have to be such an alpha. 😸
I haven't really been around dogs... but, who knows, if they respect me, then we may be great!

Hi! My name is Londie and I had spent nearly my full two years of life at a cat colony in Sunset.

Initially, I was captured as a Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR). When it was time to let me go back into the wild, they noticed that I was reluctant to go. They seen that I really enjoyed getting lovin’s instead. I heard the nice people say that if they ever caught me again, they would help me find a family. As fate would have it, the very next day, they came to trap again! So, I made sure I was there. A very nice lady has been letting me stay with her ever since.

My foster momma says that I'm the most snuggliest, buggliest baby ever. I will flop on your face and give little kisses. Oh, and I have super dainty meows that will melt your heart.

I'm such a good girl too! I know how to use the litter box, I don't scratch furniture and I'm content just being in a happy environment!

While getting spayed, the doctor noted that I have a genetic birth defect which makes my third eyelids permanently protrude. This may result in some minor obstruction to my vision but otherwise I can see very well.

I would love a more peaceful home setting where I can get all the attention! I spent so much time on my own, that now I really just want to relish in that space.

I've never been around dogs or children. Since I was part of a cat community, I do tolerate other cats really well!

Do you think you have room for me in your life? I really want a family who will dote on me and let me experience the joy that a home of my own can bring.

I'm so excited to meet you! My foster momma said you can come right to our home throughout the week so we can meet! If it's a good match, you can fill out the adoption papers right then and there!

I've waited a really long time and did all the right things to get to where I am. Now, I'm ready for you!

Purrrr-lo there!

My name is Tommy and as you can see, I am the most handsome, grey long-hair boy you will ever meet. I'm HUGE and I have big, beautiful green eyes that will slowly blink when I love someone!

I'm almost seven years old but don't let that scare you away from me because I still have a full life ahead of me! I enjoy playing with puff balls and yarn. It would be amazing if you would make sure I have a cat tree or a scratching post for me. That way I'm not tempted to scratch any furniture (I know that's not good, plus I think it's neat to observe the room around me.

You might have noticed my tipped ear! Well, some great people neutered me and then everyone realized just what a good boy I am so they didn't want to release me. That's when my pawrents took me and and gave me the best home!

Sadly, they had to move and couldn't take me with them. I don't know who was crying more, me or them! I miss them terribly and I know they miss me too... but sometimes, you have to do hard things for the people/furbabies you love.

I'm a super sweet boy who loves belly rubs and being held. If you brush my long coat while you're holding me, it's even better! I even like baths and will sit in the sink while you wash me!

I get along great with other cats and love to play with them! In all the cats I've ever known, there's only one that I didn't like. Dogs don't bother me at all. Kids are great too, just do long as they don't move too fast because sometimes that scares me. It reminds me of when I was living outside on my own.

Please just give me time to decompress, follow the "Rule of 3" and slowly introduce me to the other furbabies you have in the home!

I promise I'll make a great pet! Oh, I almost forgot... I love to talk! I'm really, really hoping that whoever adopts me will just give me lots of love and understand that my favorite thing is being held.

***SPECIAL NEEDS KITTY***

Greta is a baby that was brought to us at about four weeks of age and was brought up into a beautiful little lady. 😻

At about a year old, I began noticing a behavior that was concerning enough to make an appointment with our Family Veterinarian. 🩺

Greta was diagnosed with Hyperesthesia. 😿 Hyperesthesia in cats, also known as Feline Hyperesthesia Syndrome (FHS), is a very unfortunate medical condition that results in extremely sensitive skin, enough so that even the gentlest of pets can feel like a thousand needles stabbing them!

Because of this, there are times where Greta may hiss, scratch, or bite suddenly as a result of being in pain when getting the pets. ❤️‍🩹

🛑 It's crucial to remember that cats with hyperesthesia cannot control their actions, so punishment is ineffective and can worsen their anxiety!!

Greta's Hyperesthesia episodes are triggered by stress and touch. Her main stressor however, is other felines. 🐈‍⬛️🚦Her interactions with other felines cause her to get upset, growl, then her back and tail start twitching excessively.

When Greta was finally given her own bedroom, she immediately became more loving, affectionate, and her episodes decreased immensely. 💞

⚠️ Thus, it is essential that Greta be in a home with no other cats, no small children, and an experienced cat parent.

Greta is fantastic with dogs 🐕 and would do fine with them as long as they do well with cats and respect her boundaries.

PLEASE, do not let Greta's condition deter you from adopting her! She wants a family to love her too!

🤗🤗🤗 Tink was ADOPTED!!! 🤗🤗🤗

Hi! My name is Tink.

I'm an incredibly small Mini Australian Shepherd that weighs only about 22 pounds.

It's the strangest thing, my vet record lists my bday and spay date back in 2015 which would mean I'm about 10 years old. However, no one can believe that because my teeth are excellent and I certainly don't act that age. If THEY had to guess, they'd assume I'm closer to 3 years old. Either way, I'm a very healthy girl with so much life to live and love to give!

Sadly, my pawrents had to move and the grandparents dogs were just too much for me. They tried to maul me! Remember, I'm a little thing.

I would love a home where I was the only dog but I love cats! IF there were dogs, I'd rather them be tiny, like me! My family wonders if big dogs picked on me in the past because sometimes I can get real defensive and mean when I'm around other dogs. I just have to protect myself! If they are nice to me though, I'm a good girl.

Kids love to play with me, and I love them! I'm very friendly with people of all ages. I really love to cuddle, have my belly rubbed, sit next to you or even on your lap, give kisses and follow you around. I'm going to be loyal to whoever chooses to call me theirs!

I am active and love to run and play! I really enjoy spending time outside. It is my happy place... sunbathing, walking across the green grass, watching the birds and simply enjoying the fresh air! But, when I do come inside (doggy doors are amazing), I do great!

I know my manners and am very well-behaved. Plus, I don't mind the kennel and I love car rides!

It wasn't too long ago that we were roughing it outdoors 🌳 with all the other colony cats. But then, the lady who was feeding us realized just how sweet we were 😻 and decided to bring us home with her. As turns out, we really LOVE being pets and can't wait to find a family of our own!

I'm a total foodie! 🍛🐟 I love my treats and I'm always up for a game of chase with my favorite toys. 🪶 🧶 I'm also a big fan of jumping on your lap and giving you headbutts. 💞 And let’s not forget about those butt scratches - I absolutely love them!

I am a bit more reserved at first, 😽 especially during the first few days, but once I get comfortable, I will be sure to greet you at the door 🚪 every time you walk in and stretch out on your legs. I'm friendly with dogs 🐕 but not really into playing with them. I also love cozy beds, 💤 especially heated ones!

I am curious about other animals, like dogs 🐶 and I will rub against them and roll on my belly for attention. I LOVE to cuddle, but I'm also a bit more independent. 💕 I don’t like to be held for too long, but I do love being next to you. And of course, 🛏 I loves heated beds too!

My foster, the nice lady that rescued us, really wants to keep us but some of the family have allergies. She's so sad, and so are we! 🏡 But, we are excited for the chance to meet a family who will love us forever and ever!!! ❤️

Our Story

A New Beginning Animal Rescue (ANBAR) is a volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) non-profit Utah-based organization. Our goal is to thoughtfully reduce unnecessary euthanasia rates; improve Weber and Davis Counties’ animal welfare with compassion and respect through community building and public education on the mutual benefits of responsible pet parenting; and enhance the quality of life of companion animals in need of a new beginning and a forever home. We strive to ensure that each and every animal rescued by ANBAR is cared for; treated with compassion, respect, and dignity. While we are located in the Roy-Layton-Ogden, UT area, we also partner with local and regional groups and accept transfer rescues from throughout northern Utah and the surrounding states. ANBAR does not turn away any companion animals but welcomes them regardless of their condition and do not place a time limit on their stay with us. We believe that euthanasia should be used only as a humane last resort, to prevent further animal suffering – such as when an animal is terminally ill, critically injured, or dying. ANBAR embraces a multi-prong strategic service approach to contribute to reach our goal of reducing the number of adoptable animals euthanized each year. Our services include: *Rehoming and Adoption opportunities and events for ANBAR companion animals *Spay/neuter of ANBAR animals, to effectively reduce the problems of pet overpopulation *Veterinary care for ANBAR animals *Volunteer foster care program to provide housing for rescued or surrendered companion animals, until a qualified forever home is found *Volunteer foster care for special needs animals *Volunteer public education and training programs Rehome and Adoption Opportunities and Events: ANBAR is gratified to have a long-standing special partnership with Petco in holding adoption events every Saturday - without exception - at the Petco store in Layton, UT, since our inception in 2008. Additionally, up to 3 kittens and young cats are displayed at the Petco store for adoption, and rotated weekly to increase visibility and opportunity. Nearly 5,000 companion animals (kittens, cats, puppies, and dogs – and rabbits) have found homes through our adoption events as a result of this joint endeavor.
