Older dog who has mobility weakness and slips often? Keep the hair on their feet short and clean and I use skin glue to adhere the no slip stickers onto their feet. Individually cut the toes out etc, as the stickers come in one piece and prevent the natural flexion of the toes and feet, which is definitely not good. Makes a huge difference, and keeps me from having to go buy a crap Ton of rugs 😆

I am more than "Just" a dog trainer. I communicate with all beings at a much deeper level, most won't understand. I don't need words, I don't need to command, I teach how to just Be, together, in Balance. I feel deeply, I have a soft heart, even the stink head dogs I work with,that feel like they need to bite me at first, we come to a good relationship. When they come back for boarding and see me, will tell you how much they like their trainer. When they say goodbye before they head back home, I am like an Auntie and say I'll see you soon. My clients become a second family to me, i dont just pet sit and train their dog. I dont attract those type of clientele, and if they come they dont stay long. I never expect it to be the last time I say goodbye. Even with clients that literally do everything right, follow through to the absolute T, and help me develope their absolute dream dog, things happen that are out of our control. Even well trained dogs will pick up bait that has been thrown out carelessly on a walk. It doesnt take much. I have been in Cuscos life since a baby, almost 7 years, and trained and worked with him from a very naughty almost homeless puppy, to service dog quality, but ultimately he was his families Best Friend. I am heart broke, and heart broken for his family. He picked up the dream boat of a family and I am so happy I got to be apart of it and watch him spend his life, how a dog should! I am not a fan of bait, even so called animal safe stations, can become unsafe....let alone if people are trying to scatter bait or bait wild animals. Not only is wildlife at risk, but pets and children! I am sending so much love, prayers, healing to his family. He lived the dogs life ❤️ and they have an eternal Guardian now. I am happy I got to spend last week with him and it was a good week, as it always was together, a pre-bye? In the animal world you realize you have less control then you think. Random unthinkable things can happen, accidents can happen, dogs and animals can be unpredictable at times. In almost 16 years, I am lucky to have only been Unlucky 2 times, with dogs having random unknown illnesses or accidents. 2 times in 16 years is enough!

You don't need to try to over correct dogs that have drive, to rid them of their drive. You teach them when it's acceptable to use drive, and what belongs to me, is never acceptable for them to control. That is MY cat, why would they ever want to chase what belongs to Mom. I decide who and what is apart of my pack. Cats, dogs, chickens, ducks, bunnies, snakes, etc. I don't need a pack full of dogs anticipating getting into trouble around prey animals. I want peace. We do that by being a competent leader, and teaching by example ❤️ this is why I chose a pack full of higher drive, instinctual breeds... anything is possible when you know the right mindset to create and the tools to teach it!

How to ruin your dog’s training:

Get rushed by an untrained, out of control dog.

“But he’s friendly!!”

Well, most dogs we know don’t appreciate random, out of control dogs rushing them at full speed while barking.

(MOST dogs perceive that as a threat and will respond accordingly)

The dogs who are being rushed don’t know the intention of the strange dog.

Applying that logic “oh mine is friendly so it’s fine!” to dogs is just irresponsible.

Friendly does not give a dog a free pass to cause mayhem and do whatever they want.

Let’s call it what it is: a training failure.

I love raising dogs who can then help raise young puppies ❤️ Lil Lola, as is very common with breeds that are overly abundantly loved by people but not given the opportunity to learn that they are a dog FIRST, was initially quite co dependent on us humans... and was less interested in being a dog. If left to progress, this does lead to behavior issues on the future. So, seeing pups like her open up and start to play, learn how to be corrected, body language, respect, social skills, and to get some self confidence..... is so much joy to watch and Ultima creates the brain to builr up the best Canine partners in our lives!

Very late nights around here, working with dogs of all ages, breeds, temperments, and needing work in all directions. They all have one thing in common, learning to be dogs again! It takes so much dedication to make progresses and so much time, progresses are always worth it ten fold! Sending love to all, bare with slow uploads, we stay busy together. SleekEZ is great for dogs! Short and medium coats i find best, super long with dense undercoats they snag and you would be better off using a metal horse curry brush! I also sparingly will use a coat king when needed. #sleekez

Many times our human needs outweigh the needs of our animals. There's a time and a place for training, structure, obedience, etc etc. But there is also a time and a place to just let them do them! Let your dogs be dogs without human influence, I tell my clients to use potty break time as dog time, let them get their Jitters out and do dog stuff. If that means running circles, finding a stick so be it. I here, have this big beautiful shiny black and white horse, and yep you betcha I go and let him roll in the dirt. That makes for a lot of cleanup work for me, but it is joyful to see him just be a horse. Don't forget, our dogs did not choose to be in a human world nor did all of our other pets, the best thing that we can do is satiate their needs so they can be over all content.

Little Korra working on her co confidence, leash work, focus and pack skills. She once was VERY reactive to just about anything that made noice or moved and had practiced this for a very long timr. Pretty darn good little one on rebuilding some productive behaviors

Very good example of dog behavior and communication, especially amonsgst arctic type breeds who tend to be a bit more primal. Any guesses on whats going on here? Back story: Nova was adopted a few weeks ago and came over for a plag date, so first time back in the pack. She knows this pack very well.
