We are approaching our launch date of August 1st. While still working on an effective online donation option for supporters, we temporarily have the option for those with a PayPal account that would like to help.
If you are interested the donate button can be found at www.seadoginn.com/rescues. There is much still to do with social media platforms, but this will get the ball rolling.
At my age some of this social media stuff is beyond my skill level, so if you have suggestions, I would love to ensure everything is set up properly. If you know how to do this stuff and would like to donate your time and talent to help in this area it would be much appreciated.
Once we get operational, we will not only provide temporary housing for animals in a rescue program, but funds permitting we will be able to offer grants to other non-profit rescue groups that save needy animals.
The need is great in this area. I know your heart breaks as does mine when you see on Facebook the staggering number of animals that need help. We may not be able to save them all, but you can save one. Please consider helping our local rescue angels anyway you can. Donate funds, supplies, volunteer, or foster. The difference you make may seem small. but to the homeless animal it can mean finding love again or maybe for the first time.

For those pet owners who have a favorite pet care facility, we are aware that several in League City area are still without power and will be for a few more days.

We have plenty of available dog and cat spots still available if you need our services even if just temporarily.

You can check us out at www.seadoginn.com to see if we might be an option for you during this challenging weekend. Or call 281 554-2068 to make a reservation or get more info. Tomorrow and Friday we open from 7:00-5:00. Saturday 8:00-3:00. Sunday we open from 3-4 for drop off or pickup.

The post I have seen with people who have animals suffering in the heat due to no air conditioning has touched us at Sea Dog Inn.  if you have a dog or cat that you are concerned about the heat we can offer free day boarding. It is on a first come first serve basis. We have air condition. Indoor outdoor runs available for dogs probably under 60 pounds. The rules are they must be fully vaccinated and they must be picked up before 5 PM, if they stay overnight, you will be charged our regular boarding rate. The Dog building is not really designed for dogs over 60 pounds so that would need to be cut off

Hopefully, we can help some of you by relieving the stress of your animals becoming overheated.

Just a quick update on the status of the kennel. Power is back on all of the dogs were well taken care of the day as well as the cats. We will be up and running full steam ahead tomorrow morning at 7 AM.

For those folks who have a pet at the kennel, here is a report. We have no power. and everybody is safe. There are some tree branches down and the front yard is flooded but the road is clear and the parking lot is dry. We are all hunkered down at our homes for a few more hours and then will head over to the business and do what we can without power with no power the credit card machine will not function. Many of you know that I have been the president of Sea Dog Inn for 25 years. During that time we have supported local rescue groups by providing free or low-cost temporary housing when they were short on foster homes. In one case we took in 60 dogs from a local community animal shelter for 10 days while their facility was remodeled and did not charge them a dime. We have helped with thousands of dogs and cats over the past 25 years. The name of the kennel is Sea Dog Inn, and we live by the slogan "There's Always Room At The Inn."

With 98 dog enclosures and 32 cat enclosures, we have capacity that is not being fully utilized many months of the year. So, I have pursued getting approval to open a 501 (c)(3) organization named Sea Dog Saves that will permit us to expand our efforts to help needy animals to an even greater extent. Our mission is to provide a solution for the rescue angels in our area that are constantly overcrowded and in need of foster care homes to allow them to continue to accept new animals that need saving.

The actual intake, vetting, and adoption process will be handled by the rescue organizations, but when they need our help we will be available to provide housing for some of their animals. Our facility will be available for adoption events, visits by prospective adopters, and any other way we can help connect a needy animal to a new loving home.
As I begin this new adventure, I would appreciate your prayers and any input you might offer. We hope to launch August 1. I am working on an online donation option should you be interested in helping financially. If you happen to know of ways to request grants for charitable organizations that help animals please share that with me as well. Feel free to DM us or to email me at [email protected].

The votes are in following our trial of adding a 3rd potty break between 7-8 PM. The dogs have been very appreciative of this extra service, and all were "relieved" to get one more chance to do their business before bedtime. In addition, we added a nighttime treat for their reward which has been a big hit with happy smiles and tail wags. We do need to add $1 per night to our boarding fee beginning July 1st to offset the costs to add this premium service but believe me your dogs will thank you and go home much happier. The extra dollar barely covers the additional cost, but we feel it is just another step to providing you the best pet boarding value in the area. Your pet's comfort is our main concern, and why Sea Dog Inn has always put "Pets before Profits" for the past 30 years.

Have you heard the news? We are experimenting with adding a 3rd potty break after our normal business hours to help the dogs be more comfortable overnight. These extra breaks will be between 7;00-8:00 PM. During our evaluation period this month the extra potty break is free. Once we get a feel for the interest in this extra service, we can determine how we can or should offset the additional costs. We do all we can to ensure your pets are as comfortable as possible, and this is consistent with our Sea Dog Inn motto, "Pets before profits."

Don't forget we also board cats. In fact, we think we have the most comfortable cat facility in the area. We design it to be like a living room with many different sizes of enclosures to give your cat the most room for the price. Even a double wide if we have the extra room available.

We have a "SUMMER SPECIAL". For just an extra $10 dogs can enjoy the comfort of a raised cot whether here 2 nights or 20. We have cots for dogs of all sizes.

Weekends and holidays are required. Pet care experience is preferred, but we can train the right person who has a love for animals and a dependable work ethic.

Chocolate female lab found on Egret bay this afternoon. We took the pup to the vet no chip. Dog had a collar on no tags we removed so owner can identify collar to us to claim. If this baby is yours please reach out to Sea Dog Inn Pet Resort 281 554 2068

Another typical comment we hear because our indoor/outdoor suites are so large. Dogs from the same family can stay together at a discounted price! Recently had 2 Great Danes stay together. One was 140 lbs and the other was 120 Lbs.
