Just gonna share this info as it seems so many people don’t know what’s required to keep puppies healthy. Best case is to prevent puppy litters, but I know it’s going to happen. So maybe this info will help them to at least be healthy. It’s not cheap keeping dogs (truly) healthy.
Disclaimer‼️I am not a Veterinarian nor Vet Tech.

🔴Puppies should start dewormer at 2 weeks old, then 4,6,8 weeks with a mild dewormer such as Pyrantel. At 10 or 12 weeks it’s helpful to do a round of Panacur dewormer. Then, they need to start on monthly heartworm preventative which also kills/prevents other worms. They need a DA2PP (5way) vaccine at 6 weeks old which starts prevention distemper, adenovirus (2 types), parvo and parainfluenza. Then again at 9, 12, 16 weeks old. They shouldn’t be outside on any ground or surface that could possibly be contaminated until having these shots. Flea/tick prevention is a must and keeps them from getting tapeworms and Lyme disease or other tick related illnesses. The monthly heartworm tablets I get also have flea/tick prevention in them.

‼️Leakesville‼️This little girl was picked up today off of Old Hwy 24 near Steer Hollow Rd. I know she lives somewhere nearby because she’s been seen more than once. This time she’s been picked up by someone unfamiliar with the area. I need to know who she belongs to so we can get her back home 😞‼️

Dogs are so much better than so many people! This sweet, humble boy knows he has been saved! He was said to have been thrown out of a truck near Maynor Creek area of Waynesboro😢. He’s with a wonderful foster for now. Look how gentle he is. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

FYI‼️Leakesville Greene County Please keep your dogs home. A neighbor’s dog was missing a few days. When they found him someone had “banded” him a left it for infection to set in. It seems there was a female in heat and the unaltered male dog went to her. Some evil human living amongst us in Leakesville BANDED this dog that wasn’t even their own. Y’all know I’m all for getting dogs FIXED, but this is wrong‼️KEEP YA DOGS HOME AND HAVE THEM FIXED AT THE VET. IT’S FOR THEIR PROTECTION.

This is my disabled uncle who was in a terrible wreck at 19 years old. He also broke his neck again years later when he fell out of a truck. He volunteers every day at an animal shelter in North Carolina and the feral cats love him. So just letting y’all know, if he in his shape can volunteer helping animals all you well bodies should be able to help with homeless animals or people.

Urgent request Leakesville people‼️ I’m trying to find out who owns some land on Herndon Rd. The end closer to old 24 or middle way Herndon. A friend’s dog is lost & we’re trying to find out some places to look. Last time dog went missing she was stuck in a trap. If you know anyone that sets steel traps out there, please let me know. If she’s stuck again, we’d like to get her before it’s too late‼️‼️ Thanks in advance for any help. ♥️♥️

Somebody has to be missing this dog. Found at someone’s home in Greene county off of Hwy 57 and Rounsville Rd area. Do you know people in this area that can check around for an owner? I hate to give away someone’s dog, but I’m about to have to go pick him up and find a home for him. If not, other means will be taken😔 (not by me).
