Masters/International - Participants should be competing at an Excellent/Masters Level. We will be working on sequences that will incorporate premier and international skills

Novice/Open - Participants should be able to perform tunnels and jumps. We will be working on short sequences and breaking down the mechanics of handling.

Kelsey has been participating in agility for 23 years. She teaches weekly classes as well as online students. She is a 6 time National Champion with 4 different dogs and 35 time regional champion with 5 different dogs. Kelsey is a 5 time world team member. Kelsey has placed in the top four at the AKC Agility National Finals and the Us Open National Finals, and is a four time UKI Classic winner. Her students have made multiple trips to the podiums at AWC World Team Tryouts, US Open, IFCS and Cynosport. If you have aspirations of qualifying for Nationals or competing at the World Team level, or simply improving your handling skills and training techniques, this seminar is for you!

Canine Fitness classes are BACK!!

We're very excited to be welcoming Steven Tallas to the team as our Canine Fitness instructor. Steven is a Certified Canine Strength and Conditioning Coach (among many other certifications) and has studied under some amazing fitness instructors.

We’re excited to be hosting a handler fitness seminar, presented by Jenni Westerfeld!

Jenni has been a Certified Personal Trainer and Corrective Exercise Specialist in Austin, Texas for 25 years.

This 2-day workshop is designed to give dog agility handlers the tools with which to increase their own agility by working on core strength, stability and posture. What you learn will be useful not only on the turf, but in your daily lives as well.

The seminar is $150 and will be on October 12 & 13 from 10am-12pm both days (participants will come to both sessions). This is a humans only seminar, so please leave your dogs at home this time!

There will be 2 standard agility courses numbered (one novice and one masters) - run whichever course you like, or just train part of a course. You'll have 90 seconds for each run.
Building opens at 2pm for setup
Four time slots for runs:
3 to 4pm: walkthrough from 3:00 - 3:10, will run small to tall
4 to 5pm: walkthrough from 4:00 - 4:10, will run tall to small
5 to 6pm: walkthrough from 5:00 - 5:10, will run small to tall
6 to 7pm: walkthrough from 6:00 - 6:10, will run tall to small

Cost if you pre-register is $7 per run, or $17 for 3 runs.
Runs can also be purchased in person day-of for $8 per run or $20 for 3 runs.

We have spots available in the following classes for our upcoming session starting next week!:

Pre-Agility (Tuesday @ 9:30am, 10:30am, 6:30pm, 7:30pm, & 8:30pm) - This class will introduce dogs and handlers to the exciting sport of dog agility and dog training. Dogs will learn shaping, impulse control, focus forward, crate games, recalls, value for being at handler’s side, fitness exercises, targeting, and balance skills. This class is a pre-requisite to Obstacle Foundations and our Handling series. Dogs need to have taken any class at DePaw or another training facility to enroll for pre-agility (or get instructor approval). Dogs should be at least 8 months old. Recallers (Monday @ 5:00pm) - This is a specialty class that’s all about recall and handler focus! We’ll help you build a stellar recall with games that are fun for you and your dog! This class is suitable for dogs of all ages. Register here: https://www.depawdogsports.com/specialty-classes1.html

Teeter Transformations (Thursday @ 4:30pm) - This class is all about the teeter! It’s for anyone who has teeter troubles, or who wants to train the teeter from the beginning.
