There is now a 1 dose treatment for the parvo virus. Vaccinations are crucial for your dogs health but it's not 100% guaranteed. However there is now a 1 dose treatment that greatly increases their odds. This is wonderful news!!!

RIP Big buddy. You were my first bernadoodle. I will never forget you and how you always loved to give me a hard time during your grooming sessions. You were still a good boy. I know your at peace..
I pray for your human Mom and dad and that they find peace and the love in their hearts when they're ready to accept another soul into their home and hearts that needs a home. The shelters are overfull. I know that's what you would want as well. I will miss you big boy.

7/11/24 - UPDATE - WE STILL NEED TOWELS AND BLANKETS!

It's that time of year again-- we are desperately in need of BIG towels! With all of these precious yet very poopy puppies and kittens we have been going through our towels quicker than we usually do and our stash has gotten dangerously low. If you have any bath or beach sized towels that you're willing to part with we would be more than happy to use them! You can bring them by the shelter anytime during our open hours. Thank you!!

**As always, we know how the towels and blankets get treated around here.. We won't stop you from buying new ones to donate, but we will always prefer to have your old ones.**

Do you know me? — This girl was found yesterday (4/17) around the area of Cantrell Road and 246th St. in Leavenworth County. The finder kept her overnight before bringing her to us today (4/18). Poor baby so scared. Happy ending though

When shelter workers went to check on a new arrival to the Hillsborough County Animal Services they saw a heartbreaking sight. The pit bull mix named Larry Bird was so upset by the loud sounds of the other dogs barking that he had flipped his bed over and was hiding underneath it!

Larry Bird had been found abandoned and alone at a basketball court and now he was all alone in isolation at the shelter. But staff were praying that someone would help the friendly but frightened dog....And their prayers were answered.
