Hello dog and cat lovers!

I have decided to re-open just for nail trims of all sizes! If you’re dog needs it’s nails trimmed and filed, let me know and I’ll set up an appointment with you to visit me.

A note:
If your dog hates having it’s nails trimmed but can be held in your arms, they are welcome to come if you will hold them while I trim. If your dog is hard to manage (can’t be restrained, too large to hold), please refrain from making an appointment as I do not currently have a setup to handle difficult dogs and they should be seen by a salon that can cater to their needs.

I am not opening for full grooms- just nail trims.

Thank you!

Hello dear friends and clients.

At this time I am not able to return to grooming. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Life had other plans for me.

Thank you for understanding!

Thank you all my dear clients for supporting my small business in 2021! 🎉

I am on maternity leave till May. We will be at a new address when I come back, but don’t worry! I’m still in Leavenworth. 🐶

Please keep an eye out for updates as we get busy building a new grooming room and getting ready for the spring of 2022!

Hello my wonderful friends and fur parents! 🐕 🐈

As many of you already know, I am due with our baby boy Milo at the end of February. 🤰🏻 I will be taking maternity leave starting January 1st, unless an emergency requires me to take leave sooner.

I will be returning to work, don’t worry! I will schedule grooms to start again sometime in late April or May. It will all depend on how our little man is doing. 👶

Thank you for understanding, and please schedule your little family member before Jan. 1st so they don’t have to wait too long for their next groom! 🐶

Thank you for your business and understanding! 🥰

This little girl is much bigger now, but at the time this was her first groom! I always suggest starting doodle puppies as early as possible with grooming (around 10 weeks) since their personalities can tend to be shy and easily startled.

Happy fall 🍁 dog families. This season is so beautiful and I look forward to it every year!

This is also the the time of year many clients cancel their appointments or just don’t show up, and say they’ll call me in the spring. This is something us groomers dread to hear and let me tell you why. Every spring groomers EVERYWHERE are so overwhelmed with a back log of severely matted dogs and nail trims that we are almost certainly booked out for months beginning in March, and can barely keep up with the demand. We want your pets to feel comfortable, happy, and healthy all year round.

* Dogs should be kept on a 6-8 week schedule * to keep nails at a healthy length and to prevent tangles and knots which lead to matting. Matting can lead to tears in the skin, and a lack of blood flow, creating a breeding ground for bacteria/infections and pests like fleas. . . Some dogs even require more frequent visits at 4 or 5 week intervals for haircuts and coat types that are kept longer. In some rare cases, like short smooth coated breeds, the dogs may get by on a 10 week schedule with nail trims in between.

Many people think that their dogs don’t need to see a groomer from September to March because it’s cold outside and their dog needs their coat for insulation. While that is partially true, we agree dogs shouldn’t be shaved with a #10 (unless it’s an 🚨 emergency or medical necessity) this time of year, we also understand that most dogs are primarily kept indoors and let out to potty or go for short walks.

It’s still necessary to shampoo, brush, blow dry, and comb out the hair to prevent matting and maintain the integrity of the coat no matter what length it is. With regular visits we also have the opportunity to get a closer look at your pets ears and paws to notice any changes, like wounds, imbedded seeds/thorns, lumps, bumps… Regular baths and brushing keep the dog comfortable, cut down on shedding, and allow us to keep the groom enjoyable, and affordable for you and your fur family members.

Text us today to get scheduled, we can’t wait to see you. ♥️

With the extreme heat, many people feel their dog might be more comfortable with a full shave-down. As a groomer, I try to educate people on the reasons why double-coated dogs (retrievers, collies, etc.) should never be shaved close to the skin.

Why Shaving Your Double-coated Dog Is Not Your Best Idea July 5, 2017 Mary Jones Uncategorized A dog’s coat serves a purpose based on what the dog was bred to do. Terriers often have smooth coats that allow them to burrow into small holes without getting their fur caught on roots and rocks. Water ...
