Following the closing of the Pharmacy, Sue worked for several years at Pizza Hut in Marysville KS. During this time she began to indulge her love of singing by joining Sweet Adelines, the womens’ barbershop organization and sang with a couple of choruses for nearly 30 years.

After Jay’s death, Sue moved to Leavenworth, where her son Jef was employed, and promptly joined the church choir at First United Methodist Church, where she stayed the rest of her life.

Sue was an avid bowler and participated in local bowling leagues wherever she lived, and participated in many area and national tournaments.
