Position: Retail and Rodent Facility Assistant, Part-Time
Location: Bio Boutique, 608 s 5th st, Leavenworth, Kansas
Salary: $15/hour

Bio Boutique is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our small team. This position offers 20 hours per week. Hours are flexible; however, reliability is vital. Additional hours occasionally available for events or projects.

Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver's license with reliable transportation, as you will be required to work at both our retail shop and rodent facility about 10 min away.

Responsibilities will include: In store- providing friendly and knowledgeable front counter customer service, assisting customers in selecting reptile supplies, bioactive supplies, plants and feeders, handling cash register duties, maintaining cleanliness of the store and care of the variety of reptiles, amphibians, rodents and insects within. Rodent facility- Cleaning, maintaining and monitoring rodent colonies approx five hours a week.

Experience with reptiles, rodents or plants is a plus but not required. A willingness to learn and a strong aptitude for people skills are essential.

The Queen of Hearts, giant madagascar hognose, did it again with a big beautiful clutch. I tried to video removing her from the eggs, once I was sure she was all bluff I went in with my hands.

Dueling male Silf calls, one starts and the other gets going, then the other starts and the one gets going again. They will do this for hours sometimes. (The males are not housed together, they will fight) #solomonislandleaffrog

This little pumpkin head is ready for fall 🧡 and she is ready to ✈✈ She (female 08) is full of rich color. I especially like the yellow that spreads over her back in a few spots. She was shy at first on this trip outside but within a few min started to tongue flick and attempt calm exploring.
