A BIG SHOUT OUT to Don Brown, owner of Kansas Country Store on Cherokee street for being the FIRST to become a community sponsor of a BUFFALO for our "Spirit of the Buffalo" Tourism Promotion for Leavenworth County! Only nine more sponsors needed to place an order for a herd of TEN! We only received word of securing a STATE tourism grant this past week for this project and have hit the ground running!

Don reminded us that the gift shop of the Kansas Country Store (where a stuffed buffalo can be purchased) was once the local livestock auction arena, owned by Henry Stiglemire until the 1970s. We LOVE this connection to local history! Congratulations and thanks to Don for capturing a FIRST for Leavenworth!

Bottom layer chocolate, middle layer peanut butter fudge with peanuts in it, top layer vanilla fudge with pieces of Nutter Butter cookies + chopped peanuts.
