Exciting Announcement!

Guess what? This handsome boy passed his OFA prelims for hips and elbows? What does this mean? Our mini list will officially open up next week!

I'm beyond excited and grateful to officially be planning for our very first mini multigenerational Bernedoodle litter. This babies have been in the works and in my daily prayers for the past 2 1/2 years! It's crazy to think that all of the countless sleepless night, unanswered prayers, days of anxiousness, tears of sorrow and joy, and what seemed like an eternity all led to this moment and this answered prayer!

Our puppies are expensive.

Yep! I said it! There is no hiding the fact that our puppies are on the higher end of Bernedoodles. I've seen Bernedoodles go for half our investment and also more than double our investment.

However, if you are looking for a deal then we are not the breeder for you. Our puppies are intentionally priced due to the level we invest in our puppies and our program.

All of our parent dogs are health and genetic tested, we raise our puppies on therapy based puppy curriculum, we potty train, we crate train, we temperament test, and we offer a lifetime of support for our puppy families.

Our level of cummunication is unlike most breeders. We have a private photo album for our puppy families where we average 500-800 pictures per litter. We upload 8-12+ weekly videos to our litter page for our puppy families to view. We send out weekly emails to our puppy families, set up FaceTime visitations, we allow in person selections in our home where our puppies are raised, and we work along side our puppy families to ensure they find the best fit puppy for their family.

You will find less expensive breeders but I can guarantee those options do not offer all we offer our puppy families for a fraction of our investment.

Our puppy investment saves our puppy families a lot in the long run both emotionally and financially. Our puppies are worth it in every way! I can guarantee that!

Yellow Collar Female - Tina

Bernese or Bernedoodles

I love the Bernese breed. I love the easy going personality, desire to be close to their humans, the gentle demeanor, the loving soul, and the calmness you find in the breed. They are incredible.

I love how we get to share the love of a Bernese to those that otherwise wouldn't have had the chance to love a Bernese due allergies or size restrictions.

I love the cross of the intelligent and loving Poodle with the easy going and loving Bernese. The way a Bernedoodle loves their humans is deep and incredible to experience.

By crossing the breed we get to lower the shed level dramatically, extend the lifespan compared to a Bernese, and share the love of the Poodle and Bernese with others.

Both breeds hold a special place in my heart and in our program. We adore both breeds. It's important to breed and work to perfect what you love the most and for us that means both Bernese and Bernedoodles!

Our Toddler Stall

The environment your puppy is raised in during the first 8 weeks of life matters. The location, the level of sound exposure, the texture under your puppy's feet, the level of interaction held in the room from humans and other animals, the early introductions that take place with curriculum, the safety measures taken to protect Momma and babies, and the new locations introduced all ensure your puppy is raised to be confident and empowered rather than fearful.

Banks & Lavy Lou

These 2 are my definition of perfection when it comes to mini Bernedoodles.

Banks & Lavy are both genetically clear, they have a straight easy to maintain beautiful coat, they both have a solid blocky structure, are considered "ultra Bernedoodles" since they are above the 50% Bernese makeup, they have deep rich color that has gotten darker over time, they have the sweetest most loving temperament, and they are "true minis" expected to mature at just 18 pounds and 25 pounds.

This is my dream pairing! I can hardly wait to see their babies enter into the world this Summer/Fall.

Guess what? This is just 1 of 3 of our mini Bernedoodle pairings we have planned for 2025 and into 2026! Big plans ahead for our mini babies.

Introducing Cruz's Guardian Family!

We are the Damianos, and we live in Anderson Township in Ohio.

Just before Christmas 2024, we became the Guardians of our handsome fellow, Cruz, a mini Bernedoodle.

We have one daughter Frankie who attends Ohio State, and Cruz has joined us at just the right time. He is incredibly sweet and cuddly, and he is also very playful. Our two cats, Tony and Daniel, are still wary but Cruz has already decided they're the best.

We look forward to taking this journey with Cruz, and feel so honored that he completes our family!

Little Cruz

If you've been a follower for awhile, you know that each of the dogs in our program have a special meaning to their name. There is a lot of thought that goes into each dog that we name.

Cruz's first name, Anderson comes from Anderson University in Indiana. This is where my husband and I both attended college and where we met. It's where we dated throughout our college years, where we first raised our first dog together, and where we met and ventured through college life with our closest friends. I am forever grateful for my years at Anderson University.

Cruz's middle name and his call name "Cruz" means the "cross." Every puppy that is brought into our program, every puppy we keep back from our own litters, every business decision or sacrifice comes with countless hours of prayer. My faith in Jesus has carried me through so many dark and painful moments. Breeding is not for the faint of heart and it's only because of the strength I find in Jesus that we are still in existence today.

Our faith is at the core of our program. Our name 3|17 is from the Bible versus Colossians 3:17. "And whatever you do, in world or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus." Our hope is that God continues to use us to reach others, to share the love and power of healing through our program and with our puppies.

Anderson Cruz, you are no doubt meant for greatness! We are blessed to love you and our hope is that others will be blessed to love your legacy of puppies!

Prepare yet again to fall in love with another mini!

Lavy Lou

Lav is my sidekick. The one that follows me everywhere, runs errands with me, takes a nap under my feet while I cook, lays on top of me while we snuggle on the couch, sleeps under our bed when she needs extra Momma time, and makes everyday a blessing with her unconditional love.

She loves deep and for that I'm grateful. To be loved by a dog is the purest form of unconditional love on this Earth!

Foundation for Grooming

At KBD we use a dremel during weeks 2-4 to file our puppies nails. We switch to a baby nail clipper once puppies are five weeks old.

It's extremely important to keep puppies nails filed or cut short while they are nursing on Momma. Puppies use their front paws to push against Momma while they are nursing. Little scratches on Momma can lead to infection and also cause irritation that deters her from wanting to nurse. Keeping those puppies nails filed down/short protects our Mommas.

Puppies are also learning to be compliant during grooming sessions. They are learning that sounds, vibrations, and the actual clipping of a nail isn't something to fear but rather a part of our weekly routine. Your groomer will sing praises of your puppy's compliance if they are raised in a home that exposes puppies to grooming tools at a young age.

Today we celebrate the birth of Christ. The one that came to save us all so that one day we may be reunited with him and all those that love him in Heaven.

Exciting Announcement . . .

Introducing the newest addition to our program Anderson Cruz Korte!

Cruz joined our family 12 days ago and of course we've had such a hard time keeping this boy a secret! All of our litter check in videos have been done while little Cruz naps to ensure this boy had the proper introduction!

Cruz is a mini multigenerational tri colored Bernedoodle expected to mature between 30-40 pounds. He is our 2nd mini Bernedoodle future stud that we are beyond thrived to have in our program!

We have spent the last 2 years looking for the perfect 2 studs to add to our program for our mini lines. There have been countless almost additions where God simply closed the door multiple times. We remained faithful and trusted that God had something else in store for us. Banks are Cruz are literally a dream come true and an answered prayer!

Cruz is genetically clear, SS (will produce all traditional black tri colored and red Bernedoodles), he has a beautiful thick straight coat (-/-), he is fully furnished (FF) meaning his puppies will have the desirable low to almost non shedding coats, and he comes from non fading lines which makes us super hopeful he will maintain his deep tri color markings!

We hit the jackpot again with this boy!

We are hopeful that Cruz paired with any of our up and coming mini multigenerational Bernedoodle Mommas will lay the foundation for our much anticipated mini Bernedoodles!

Curriculum is in full swing!

At KBD we raise our puppies on the "Badass Breeder" (BAB) curriculum. Our curriculum begins when puppies are just 3 days old and continues until week 7 when our puppies are temperament tested.

Every day is intentional. Every activity is introduced at the right moment in our puppies' developmental period to ensure we are raising puppies that are curious, confident, and empowered.

Puppies are not just "playing." Our puppies are discovering new objects, new textures, new noises, unpredictable movement, and learning to be curious rather than fearful of the world around them.

The first 16 weeks of a puppy's life are the most impactful. At KBD, we make the most of every second during the first 8 weeks so that you can continue to lay a foundation that ensures your puppy thrives!
