Reposting, our puppies are almost three weeks old and gaining weight, love, and cuddles. Momma is doing great and we are so proud of her.
Greatful for her bloodline ( we are passionate and supportive of English bulldog breeders who breed responsibly - putting health before looks) - I was raised with English bulldogs and from an early age watched my parents invest so much love & energy into this amazing breed which unfortunately comes with health issues. The incredible patience and love these bullies gave our family growing up was unconditional. I watched my younger sister, a new born being raised with our bulldog puppy and see just how loving our family pet was. My love for the bulldog grew as I continued to grow. My heart grew watching my parents take care of the infinite health issues that arose. These dogs softened & made our hearts grow all at the same time.
Fast forward 25 years.
My first dog as an adult was a bulldog and we were rewarded by such a loving & passionate dog who came with a personality bigger than our home & filled us with so much love and laugher. He also came with health issues that broke our heart. The vet trips are uncountable and surgeries counted because they added life to both our lives while we did everything for him. Not long after we looked into another bulldog to add to our family. Lilac panolepe peaches 🍑 became part of our family shortly after. Instead of diving into and rescuing a bulldog like our first we researched and found a responsible breeder. Its amazing & sad the difference in health these two dogs have, yet at the end of the day they both have the biggest and most beautiful personalities. After many hours of research we decided to breed Lilac with an English bulldog with great genetics and health to match hers. I've had so much negative backlash but at the end of the day I know we want to better the bulldog breed.
Lilac was able to give birth naturally ( which if anyone knows its a no Brainer- pregnant bulldogs are scheduled C-sections) Big Momma is doing amazing and her pups are growing and gaining by the day. We are loving our new addition and will be looking for families that can love and care for these perfect pooches. Adam Schaeffer
Thank you to my mother Darlene Burton who is no longer with me but loved english bulldogs more than anyone I ever met. To my father John Burton who isn't on Facebook but deserves all the credit in the world taking in my sons father's Boxer after he passed away and adopting a boxer puppy within the last 6 months - but ultimately showing Me how to care and love The English Bulldog throughout my childhood. I am beyond blessed and fortunate
