Happy 3rd Birthday to my sweet Murph and his magical lower lip freckles!! With each passing day this sweet guy is becoming more and more like his mama Lorene. Their personalities are so similar. Laid back and easy going; they both just go with the flow. Except when it comes to fly spray then all bets are off 😂. It took me a while to figure out what they were doing but this has become a weekly occurrence. The aftermath of chasing the UPS truck. One day I’ll catch them on camera in the actual act. But I can tell you, both our UPS man and Sanitation crew get quite a show from the steers when they come to our house. In a very non-vegan community, maybe my boys will open some hearts and show people that when allowed to live in peace without fear, cows are no different than the pets they love so much. You should probably have the sound on for this one to see Clem clap back at my question 👏👏👏. The last month or so, something has really clicked with Clementine. She has become super calm and affectionate, constantly seeking me out for scratches and even a head hug or two. This is a sure sign to me that she finally feels safe. A HUGE deal given where she came from. I’m honored to have her trust and will continue working every day to prove to her that I’m worthy of it. Animals and their resilience. It’s crazy that the first cow born here with us in sanctuary is turning 2 years old today. To me this strong, independent, fearless lady has matured beyond her years. I’m sure becoming Junie’s mother at a very young age has played a role in her gorgeous old soul energy. I can tell you for a fact that I’m a better person for knowing her.
