Happy Birthday to our LVT, Emma! 🎉

Emma is always ready to help with whatever walks through the door… but if it’s a Golden Retriever, suddenly she’s very available. 😂

Help us wish Emma a Happy Birthday! Hopefully her day involves lots of relaxing and cuddles with her dogs, cat, and chickens. 🐶 🐱 🐓 💛🎂

We had the cutest little sugar glider visit us recently, and we couldn’t resist sharing a few fun facts!

🦘 Sugar gliders aren’t rodents. They’re marsupials, just like kangaroos and koalas.

🌙 They’re nocturnal, so they’re most active at night and spend much of the day sleeping.

🪂 Their name comes from the flap of skin, called a patagium, that stretches from their wrist to their ankles. This allows them to glide up to 150 feet through the air!

👨‍👩‍👧 In the wild, they live in family groups and are very social, which is why they generally do best with another sugar glider as a companion.

Every day brings a new patient and something new to learn. That’s one of our favorite parts of caring for exotic pets! Thanks to our tiny visitor for making our day a little sweeter. 💙🐾

Cute doesn’t always mean easy. 🐒💛

Squirrel monkeys are incredibly smart, curious, and full of personality, but they also require specialized diets, daily mental stimulation, social interaction, and routine veterinary care. Their needs are much more complex than most people realize, which is why they aren’t the right pet for most households.

✨If you’re thinking about bringing home any exotic pet, do your research first. Understanding their long-term needs is one of the best ways to help them live a healthy, happy life.✨

👏🏼Today we’re celebrating Christian’s 5-year anniversary at Haley Vet!👏🏼

For the past five years, Christian has been a dependable member of our team, bringing dedication, consistency, and great care to every patient he works with. Whether he’s caring for dogs and cats or sharing his knowledge with our exotic and reptile clients.🐍

⭐️One accomplishment that deserves special recognition: in five years, Christian has never called out. That level of commitment is incredibly rare, and we’re grateful for everything he does for our team, our clients, and their pets.⭐️
