Are You Familiar with our Paw Pantry?

The Paw Pantry is a lifeline for pet owners facing financial hardship. 💙 Thanks to generous food donations from community members and local businesses, this program provides monthly pet food assistance for dogs and cats.

Here’s how it works:
📍 When: Tuesday–Saturday, 2–4:30 PM
📍 Where: New Leash On Life Adoption Center—no appointment needed!

First-time assistance is no questions asked, and Wilson County residents have priority. However, if food is available, we’ll help pet owners from surrounding counties too. Beyond the first visit, we ask for proof of need and spay/neuter status. If your pet isn’t fixed yet, our JOY Clinic can help with that!

In 2024, the Paw Pantry helped 1,274 households keep their pets happy, healthy, and at home. Incredible! 🐾

Sometimes, all it takes is one picture to spark love at first sight. That’s exactly what happened when a family saw Confetti’s photo online. They had recently lost their senior dog and decided they were ready to welcome a new furry friend.

This past Sunday, dad and kids raced to PetSmart on a mission—because Mom had one request: “Go get that puppy!” And that’s exactly what they did! 💕

Now named Daisy, this playful pup is having the best snow day. Check out the sweet photos they shared: Daisy playing in the snow and then crashing on the couch after her big day of fun. 🐶❄️

Hinoa:"A bright young girl in charge of Village Quests, Hinoa has a gentle nature and her inerasable smile make her like a sun that brightens the entire village.";(Monster Hunter) Born in July 2022 this sweet kitty came to New Leash on Life after being found in the middle of the road with her mom (who unfortunately, didn't make it). Hinoa came in with some wounds and trauma, but thanks to donations to the Angel Fund we were able to give her the medical attention and time she needed. During this time, we noticed that some of the trauma caused her pelvic canal to be narrower than it should be. That may have affected the nerves to her colon and sometimes she deals with constipation issues. Hinoa was adopted and recently had to come back to NLOL due to allergies in the family. Other than the occasional constipation, she's a normal, happy cat who needs to be the only pet in the home. Hinoa is full of energy and doesn't let anything slow her down. She is litter box trained, spayed, microchipped, has received age-appropriate vaccines, and is on flea prevention. If you want a companion who will brighten every day of your life, you can adopt this special girl into your heart for $50. **Adoption Center Policy: All cats must be INDOOR ONLY and shall NOT be declawed. ** (Pet ID C22-234)

Let's welcome in the New Year by stopping by the PetSmart in Mt. Juliet's Providence Marketplace Sunday between 1-4pm. You will get a chance to meet these 4 fantastic dogs.

Tyrone: He is a 1 year old Heeler/Beagle mix that weighs about 41lbs. He is smart, eager to please, and does great in doggie play groups.
Confetti: She is a 4 month old, wirehaired Terrier mix who weighs about 18lbs. This young lady is active and full of puppy energy.
Share and Gym are also ready to be spayed and neutered. They are sweet and playful. currently weighing between 12-15lbs.The rest of the "New Year resolution" siblings are also available for adoption. Please fill out an application to get pre-approved to add one of these precious pups to your family.
*All dogs are spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, and have started their vaccines, and are on flea/tick & heartworm prevention prior to adoption*
**All New Leash on Life dogs must be adopted to families willing to have their pets be allowed inside-especially at night. No dog is allowed to be put on a "tie out" or chain outside and should be walked on a leash when not in a fenced in yard.**
