Is your breeder doing everything in their power to make sure your puppy is in fact made for Your family? Let me example how we are different. We don't do neonate picks. We don't do picks by pictures. We give every single one of our families a chance to meet the babies. But only after they are of an age that matters. Why is this important? Not all puppies are made equal. Some will have low confidence, And a high-energy family with limited experience might end up with a shy puppy and become a fear-biter because the puppy just Doesn't fit their lifestyle. Or a high Drive working personality is placed with a low-energy family that can't meet their physical and mental needs. So now that you know the why we do things this way. How? Continue reading. When pups are born They have no real personalities that will reflect their adult disposition. As they grow and interact with their litter mates, their environment, sensory objects/sounds, and life in general we can build them a profile. One that tells us where on the disposition spectrum they will land. At 7 weeks (this timing is critical as they haven't yet mentally been able to be affected by environmental experiences), we test them. This test gives them a score. Each puppy is scored by a person that's unbias, didn't raise them, and has no interest in the litter. When doing these tests what are we looking for? Well in simple terms we are singling out the extreme. 85% of puppies will be ok for average pet owners. The 15% is what we want to make sure we can pick out and match them with specific families that will meet their unique needs. So now what? We have our reservation list! These are paid reservations where people are waiting for a match! We are very flexible. Some families know it isn't the right timing and will pass, others will have been waiting for this pair And know they are wanting to stay with the litter till matched with their puppy.
