Open Sat 10-4, by appointment other days:).♥️🐓🐰🐾🐈‍⬛🐹🦔 I adopted Chicken Nugget from an animal rescue group named A Critter's Chance in January 2016. I went to the farm to pick up 4 bunnies to foster. He was the only tiny bantam rooster running around all full sized chickens. He was kind of following us around and I asked if I could pick him up.(I knew nothing about chickens) 'Sure, if he will let

you'. He not only let me, as we walked around he fell asleep in my arms. Deal breaker....Chicken Nugget was a stray that was picked up. Poor Guy had mites and his crown was frost bitten. I can't imagine that people just dump defenseless animals. At least have the decency to take them to a humane society or rescue group.He has now been part of our family for almost 8 months. He sleeps in his coop outside, but several nights during the week I bring him in and hold him for hours, while I watch tv, work, etc.

Sweet 10 month old Murphy is still available for adoption:). He has really warmed up to other dogs, etc. since we took him in almost a month ago. He doesn't bother the kitties or cause any problems with other animals, in general. He can be a little intimidated by some, LOL:). He is currently 70 lbs, and needs a little more weight on him and still has a little more growing to do.
He loves people and wants to snuggle all the time.
He does need a fence, he's still a puppy and wants to play and, also, loves to hang out in the snow.
He's now been neutered, microchipped and all vaccines caught up. Heartworm negative, also. He does well in the car and at the Vet. He pulls some on the leash but not too bad. He is a little anxious about new things but doesn't take long to warm up! Whomever adopts this sweet boy is very lucky!

This morning The LadyBug Pest and Wildlife Control owner Jaclyn Ricci, was kind enough to send 4 employees to Volunteer at the Center! They accomplished so much. I am so grateful❤️. Rock was annoyed that I didn't allot more time for his belly rubs, but plenty of people are willing to come in for that! 🤣♥️🐾
It's important to support locally owned businesses like LadyBug, but, also consider those that give back to their community!!

Few things:):
- Friday our male turkey, Lizzy the Tortoise and Beatrice the bunny were all adopted by the awesome farm, 6th Day Farm LLC . Please check them out, they're an amazing organization and we are so happy for our sweet babies to get lots of love and attention.🦃🐰🐢♥️
- Saturday was an AWESOME day at the Center:). We had amazing teens there volunteering, grooming, etc. and several fun visitors, repeat and new! ♥️
- Last, the lone little sweet kitten left from the Sister Momma's litters is doing really well! The amazing Foster/Friend/Adopter, Jessica McGuire, reported today that she continues to gain weight, she was tested for the 2nd time for Parvo (FPV) and it was negative again! Pls continue to keep her in your thoughts and/or prayers.♥️🐈‍⬛

Hello Friends:)
We will be opening late today, Open 12-4. Sorry for any inconvenience.
We have the adoptable Yorkipoos, Edward and Bella, Guinea pigs and, some awesome bunnies. Also, you can shop in Rock's Retail shop, we have dogs treats, new and gently used collars and leashes, bandanas, cute t-shirts, knick knacks, stickers and lots more:). Also, we have the Read with Rock corner and you can read to the animals. Kids can visit and bring veggies to give the animals. We love well behaved kiddos visiting :).
We can do nail trims for your bunnies and guinea pigs. Please call regarding any other types of animals. We can't have dogs coming into the Center unannounced. But, you're welcome to have our dogs lay on your feet and warm them up! 🤣🐾🦜🦎🐰

It is with the heaviest heart that I have to share that both sweet Mommas and 9 out of 10 of the babies had to be euthanized😭.
We had them all tested and all, but one baby, tested positive for Parvo (FPV). I am sick about this and it's been a difficult thing to post. Both Vets helped us and went above and beyond. Dr. Falcone/Lebanon Vet came in on her day off on Sat. Dr Kistler/All Animals fit them all in when things were looking worse and did not charge for the 11 euthanasias. They both adjusted bills and helped as much as they could on that end.
The foster of the kittens, Jessica, McGuire (and helped with bills), is still nursing the one baby and had her tested again, thankfully she is still negative and gaining weight so, she and I, are very hopeful for the one remaining little soul. ♥️🐈‍⬛
Thank you to my friend and the best cat program director ever, Dawn Walker, for always letting me reach out for advice. We are lucky to have the relationship we have with Humane Society Boone County ❤️. Christy Brubaker is the same with the dog program. Lv u Ladies.
Thank you for your donations, we still had $1k out of pocket. And, thank you for all your well wishes and prayers.
Sadly, all of this could have been prevented had the previous owners bothered to vaccinate the girls. And, not dumped them for them to get pregnant, also.:(

Friends, both Mommas have been sick since we got them. I'm on 3rd Vet visit. Kittens were separated and are being bottle fed and cared for by one of our amazing volunteer/supporter, Jessica McGuire.
We took in 2 more of the Yorkipoos from the bad situation, the Pyr mix plus all the other puppies, little dogs and kittens and 4 more bunnies we still needed to spay/neuter and vaccinate this week and next. Please consider donating, it's a lot. You can pay on our bill at All Animals Vet or Lebanon Vet Clinic, Venmo, PayPal or on our website.

This little cutie kitten went to his new home tonight, he went through a lot and you would never know it now! 🐈‍⬛❤️😃 I will miss him, Reggie (bird) and Rock will NOT miss him. 🤣🤣

We took in these two sweet babies on Friday from a rough situation. Thank you Connie Vantreese for making the almost 4 hour round trip to get them!! This is the before video, so pitiful:(. I got them into the Vet and were, also, lucky enough to get them into the groomer immediately following the Vet appointment. I am SO grateful for Rorie Wood for donating her grooming time and getting them back on track and looking adorable. They were so matted and stunk so bad we had to open the window in the Vet's office. Their nails were incredibly long, also. Rorie had tears in her eyes seeing their condition. Both babies already have excellent adopters!! 🐾❤️ #benuggetkind #chickennuggetandgang #adoptandrescue

Seriously, does anyone have a puppy this vocal?? Jake is a riot!!! ALWAYS talking AKA complaining. Between the 'comfort' of freezing temperatures (wants to be outside nonstop) and wanting to play with 'his' puppies, I can't catch a break with this dude. :) But, that's ok, he is so freaking cute and funny! Best foster fail, ever!! The Chicken Nugget and Gang Story

I adopted Chicken Nugget from an animal rescue group named A Critter's Chance. Fritz and I went to their farm to pick up 4 bunnies for me to foster, and help out. He was the only tiny bantam rooster running around all full sized chickens. He was following us around and I asked if I could pick him up, (I knew nothing about chickens). 'Sure, if he will let you'. He not only let me, as we walked around he laid his head on my shoulder and fell asleep! Deal breaker!! (I think Fritz’s exact words were, “Oh S@#t, we are taking a chicken home”)

Chicken Nugget was a stray that was picked up by someone and the rescue had just taken him in. The poor little Guy, (less than 1 pound!), I can't imagine that people just dump defenseless animals, at least have the decency to take them to a humane society or rescue group. He has now been part of our family for over two years (adopted January 2016). He sleeps in his coop outside, he always looks out for his peeps. He is loving and kind, but also a strong soul. At least, one night during the week, I bring him in, feed him special treats, and hold him for hours, while I watch tv, work, etc. I won’t lie, sometimes (OK, almost every time) we both fall asleep. He is a treasure! He (and his Family we have created) showed me that chickens are very smart animals, and can even be pets. They also deserve to be treated humanely!

In February of this year (2018), I made our rescue efforts official, and formed Chicken Nugget and Gang, Inc. It was only fitting to name it after the dynamic Chicken Nugget!

We are a small (start-up) Rescue, Sanctuary & Support group. We will work hard to support ‘Friends of Nugget’ which are other Rescues that we know do a great job of caring for the animals that they work with. We have many exciting ideas and plans in the works!
