Hello, sorry I've been MIA on here. I recently had knee surgery and I'm still recovering. Anyone coming to this page to find a farrier, I am not taking new client's because I can't currently work. If you go the americanfarriers.org you can find a farrier in your area. Make sure it says CF or CJF after their name so you know they are certafied.certified. I'm going to say this for Farriers everywhere due to an incident today:

If it's not an emergency (and you better have called your vet first if it is) please refrain from texting, calling or messaging your farrier outside of normal business hours about hooves. This means weekends or days off. We want to spend some time with our families, doing things that don't involve your horses hooves and answering questions about them. 2 am isn't a good time for a text and Sunday morning isn't great for a call. Wait until Monday morning or normal, daytime hours. You aren't entitled to any equine professionals time. If you try to demand they answer when you call multiple days in a row, multiple times a day that's a guaranteed way to get put to the back of the list or fired. I don't care if you have one horse or 100. We're human beings, not robots. Everyone's feeling the burnout of summer. Everyone's busy. Use common courtesy.

Messages in relation to farrier business received after hours (9-5,m-f business hours) may or may not be answered at the time they're received. Calls will normally be returned the next business day as the phone is usually on do not disturb after 6pm ***

This is why I love my job! This horse has sidebone really bad. When I got there he literally couldn't walk. He would take a step and almost fall bc he was so lame. Unfortunately for him he had some not so knowledgeable farriers do work on him which only made the issue worse. After 1 session I was able to give this poor guy some relief! And he was actually able to walk!
