A bin full of baby Sealpoint and Bluepoint Siamese does starting to show their points. This is a blend of (NL) Netherlands and American exhibition lines that I'm working on. Several may be available for rehoming in January after I make my selections.
Another video of our first pedigree Syrian hamster pups. What a difference a day makes! You can almost see these babies grow! The colors of the tortoiseshells are also becoming more vibrant.
Winter Whites are our specialty, but very occasionally we may have a litter of pedigreed Syrian hamsters. This is our first and we're delighted to have eight dove tortoiseshell females with various combinations of banding and dominant spotting along with two yellow dominant spotted males.
TLC for momma. Our mother hamsters are socialized too and live the rest of their lives as personal ESA pets after retirement. Typically, I limit them to 1-2 litters, not to exceed 3 in a lifetime. Marina has a lovely first litter that can be bred into my main line to keep inbreeding coefficients low while I select for breed type.
Momma hamster and her babies getting some socialization and cuddle time. It's time to separate the boys and girls in this litter, but they'll be able to live with their same-sex siblings for about 6 weeks longer.
The key to Winter White bliss is a good thumb πand a slow hand π π₯°β£οΈ Although I provide treats for enrichment, I do a lot of my pup socialization without them focusing on their natural friendliness and response to touch.
Have you hugged your Winter White today? Not all hamsters enjoy handling, but when socialized, some Winter Whites really seem to enjoy gentle stroking and interaction with their owners. This is Olena, one of my foundation females who passed her lovely temperament on to her pups.
Pup socialization. Boris was born on 3/13 and truly loves to be cuddled!
Available for adoption. Several young hand tame Winter White hamsters near Cincinnati, Ohio. Message me for placement requirements.
