Everyone has mice. Ours are just particularly nice 🥰! Introducing my Siamese Sealpoint Fancy Mice. I was fortunate to start with animals from good breeders and hope to keep a small colony that maintains and improves on their quality.

TLC for momma. Our mother hamsters are socialized too and live the rest of their lives as personal ESA pets after retirement. Typically, I limit them to 1-2 litters, not to exceed 3 in a lifetime. Marina has a lovely first litter that can be bred into my main line to keep inbreeding coefficients low while I select for breed type.

Momma hamster and her babies getting some socialization and cuddle time. It's time to separate the boys and girls in this litter, but they'll be able to live with their same-sex siblings for about 6 weeks longer.

The key to Winter White bliss is a good thumb 👍and a slow hand 👋 🥰❣️ Although I provide treats for enrichment, I do a lot of my pup socialization without them focusing on their natural friendliness and response to touch.

Socializing of Mandarin pups carrying the gene for black. Although widely available in the USA pet trade, I consider both colors to be experimental and routinely monitor Mandarins for urine glucose and keytones with test strips. Pups in this litter are hand seekers and have fantastic temperaments.

Have you hugged your Winter White today? Not all hamsters enjoy handling, but when socialized, some Winter Whites really seem to enjoy gentle stroking and interaction with their owners. This is Olena, one of my foundation females who passed her lovely temperament on to her pups.

Happy Mother's Day! Meet Olena, the sweetest little mother in our small Winter White hamstery. She just weaned her last litter and now will be retired here permanently. She absolutely loves attention and her favorite thing is to run up my arm and sit on my shoulder.

Meet Tanuki, one of our young agouti males. It's a long story how he got his name, but it's a Japanese legend. As all of our Winter Whites have Russian names, Tanuki is also the name of a Russian sushi restaurant which took a bold stand against racial discrimination which is unfortunately common in that culture.

Zima has gone wild! No, not really. It's just pretend and having fun with him in a photography light box. He's the older hamster who started it all and got me thinking that maybe there are American Winter White bloodlines that can be rescued and responsibly bred for correct breed type and behavior. This is how ZimaWind got started.

New hamstery specializing in Winter Whites. While we don't breed for the purpose of selling pets, we will occasionally offer extra pups and retired adults for rehoming to suitable adopters. We have hand tame Winter Whites in a variety of colors and are selecting for healthy, friendly animals with the correct breed type. We do not breed for traits that occur as a result of Campbell's hybridization.
