I-89 Exit 19 Southbound off-ramp closure starting at 7am September 2-6 for pavement operations. Please plan ahead for travel this week for appointments. This detour adds about 10 minutes of travel depending on traffic and time of day. As always please give us a heads up if possible if you are running behind schedule. Thank you!

🔹 Closure begins Tuesday, Sept. 2 at 7:00 AM and lasts 5 days.
🔹 Use Exit 18 SB off-ramp to reverse direction to I-89 NB, then take the Exit 19 NB off-ramp to access Route 4.
🔹 Message boards and signs will guide drivers.

Another big anniversary over here at Stonecliff!

Dr. Kevin Kelly celebrates 5 years with our Stonecliff family and boy are we happy to have him. Those of you who know Dr. Kevin Kelly can appreciate his calm and soft approach to our patients and clients alike. He has a special touch and passion towards our geriatric patients. His warm presence and goofy jokes always make our team smile.

Dr. Kevin Kelly has grown a lot here with our Stonecliff team. Some of his accomplishments in the last year or so include completing ultrasound technology training and completing the Senior Dog Veterinary Certification Program Level 1 and being recognized as a Senior Dog Certified Veterinary Professional.

This month we celebrate 9 years with Dr. Stacy Eastman-Batchelder!

Dr. Eastman-Batchelder is everyone's biggest cheerleader. From her team, friends, family, and of course all of our incredible patients. On any given day you may walk by Dr. Eastman-Batchelder's exam room and hear joyful cheering and praise. We sometimes joke that we wish we could see Dr. Eastman-Batchelder as our human health care provider so we could get all that praise for being so brave and smart and beautiful too (and the treats)!

This past year Dr. Eastman-Batchelder has led our new dental practice and is always continuing to push herself and her team to grow and learn. Dr. Eastman-Batchelder continues to work with our extra nervous patients and their families to give them the tools and confidence to be successful and ease the anxiety around vet visits and normal day-to-day activities. The work she does is really incredible to watch.

Cheers to 9 years! We are excited to see what the future brings!

Yesterday, our technicians and assistants took some time with Brian's Bandages for a bandaging refresher. Our team loved to get together for some hands-on training and learning some new tricks. Some of our lovely patients included our Halloween decorations, dog toys, some beloved childhood stuffies, and Casper, our CPR training dog.

This week we celebrate our incredible team of veterinary receptionists for Veterinary Receptionist Appreciation Week! We celebrated our client care team by ending the week with a surprise lunch outing for a much-needed break. ❤️

Our client care team are superheroes in scrubs. They are the first and last smiling face our clients see each visit. They multitask and juggle endless different tasks each day. They calmly assist and care for clients and their beloved pets through the happy and the sad times they may face at our hospital, no matter the circumstances. They are a compassionate ear to listen, sometimes a shoulder to cry on, a calm voice to ease stress or worry, a warm smile to laugh and share stories with, and so much more. We are so grateful for our client care team!

Please remember to take a moment to thank our lovely client care team for their compassionate care for our clients and patients. Always be patient and kind.

Happy 4 years, Chris! 🥳

Chris joined our team in Montpelier, VT, at our previous surgical center. After the flood forced us to close our Vermont office, Chris continued to travel over an hour to continue to work with our incredible team.

Our clients may not get to see Chris' smiling face often, but know that she is keeping this place running from behind the scenes. As our Surgical Sterilization Supervisor Chris runs our surgical instrument prep, cleaning, sterilization, organization and training to help keep up with our busy surgery case load. On top of this, Chris is cross-trained to help out our client care team, help with patient restraint, surgery recovery, and many other areas as needed.

Chris is a hard worker and a team player, and boy, are we lucky to have her on our team. You can always count on Chris giving your pets some extra love when they are here for surgery (especially the kitties which are her favorite!).

This month we celebrate 5 years of having Stephanie as a part of our Stonecliff team!

For those of you that do not know her, Stephanie is our groomer. Stephanie also helps out at the front desk from time to time when the team needs her or really anywhere she is needed in the hospital. Stephanie has been grooming for over 15 years, and we are so lucky to have her on our team.

Stephanie has a way of calming even the most nervous of patients to make their spa visits as low-stress as possible. Stephanie always puts her patient's well-being above all else. She will come up with creative approaches or split visits into more shorter visits if it is going to be more positive that way for her patients.

Last month a group of 4 of our team members traveled to Orlando, Florida, to attend a week full of learning at the VMX veterinary conference. Some course topics were behavior, reducing the anxiety of our patients, anesthesia, dental care, customer service, leadership, and many more! We are so excited to hear about all that they learned and brought back to the clinic!

We are always pushing our whole team to continue to grow their skills and knowledge. We require continuing education for all team members every month to be sure they are keeping sharp and always learning something new!
