After all of the kitties went home we celebrated Lisa’s very special 70th birthday! Happy Birthday Lisa, and a big giant thank you to the volunteers that helped to make this possible!

We hope you have had a wonderful day and kept the table scraps fed to all furry family members to a minimum! Let’s see those happy dogs and cats by the tree!

We will continue to spend time with our families tomorrow, however, Dr. Nordman will be in the office on Friday with several appointment slots left intentionally open for same day appointments.

☀️Remember all those warm days last month? Ya, the mosquitos do too🦟. Don’t forget to give your monthly heartworm prevention today!

Heartworm pills actually work BACKWARDS. Meaning that when you give a dose on December 1st, it will kill any baby heartworms your dog contracted in the PAST 30 days. It does not protect forward. We hear many people discontinue when the weather gets cold, but this could be a fatal mistake. We recommend not chancing it and giving heartworm prevention year-round for the best protection. 🗓️

This Veterans Day, let's take a moment to honor the brave men and women who have served our country. Your sacrifices have paved the way for our freedoms, and we are eternally grateful. 🇺🇸
In honor of Veterans Day, we are announcing our November special! We are now scheduling low-cost cat spays and neuters appointments for Monday, November 25th for pets owned or loved by military veterans, active duty military members, military spouses or children, ROTC members, current or retired police officers, and current or retired fire fighters.
The team at Lebanon Veterinary Clinic is honored to be able to give back to the individuals in our community who dedicated their lives to defending and upholding our freedom ❤️🤍💙

This sweet boy had emergency surgery late tonight following a diagnosis of an Intussusception caused by a severe giardia infection. He is out of surgery and doing great. We are optimistic he will make a full recovery!

We couldn’t agree more with these recommendations! City or Country- those cute little trash pandas, rodents like rats, mice, and squirrels, skunks, opossums, foxes, and deer are everywhere and can spread this deadly bacteria through their urine. Dogs low to the ground are even more at risk. We strongly encourage preventing this with the vaccine.

Note- in the past, the Lepto vaccine was not as “pure”- meaning it caused a lot of reactions due to the preservatives in the vaccine. This is no longer the case! Due to the filtration and modern technology, Lepto vaccine reactions are few and far between. Please consider protecting your fur baby today!

The 2022 AAHA Canine Vaccination Guidelines have been updated to classify the leptospirosis vaccine as CORE for all dogs starting at 12 weeks of age – regardless of lifestyle, location, or breed.
Why the change?
🌆 ALL dogs are at risk—urban, suburban, and rural.
⚠️ Potentially fatal, even with treatment.
🔄 Zoonotic—it can spread from pets to humans.
🏢 Dogs in daycare and kennels also face exposure risks.
