‼️🆘️🐕 THE SHELTER IS FULL! 🐕🆘️‼️

HSLC's large dog kennels are full! Small kennels are full. We have dogs in overnight, police kennels. We are at maximum capacity. ‼️‼️‼️. More strays are coming in today as well.....💔💔💔💔

We have had a vast amount of strays. Dogs coming in from the dog warden...even with reclaims.... 🐾 😢😢😢. Returns too... So many surrenders waiting as well....🥺 We are trying to keep up.

We are in need of fosters and adopters to help us get dogs out and open up kennel space for other dogs in the community that are in need. We will continue to review applications, set up meet and greets but this takes time. ...Thank-you for your patience 🐾🐾

We're in need of dedicated individuals to become volunteer dog walkers at our shelter.🦮If you're passionate about pups and want to make a difference, join us in giving our furry friends the love and exercise that they need!❤️💪🏼As many of you know, we have over 40 dogs in house, and receive more on the daily.😣Many coming from very stressful and uncared-for situations.😔Due to these situations, many of our dogs need help with socialization, trust, TLC🩷and bonding - which can take up to months/years.🤯
‼️WE STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT EVERY DOG DESERVES A SECOND CHANCE!‼️

With this being said, we are now accepting volunteer dog-walker applications!😁Please be patient as we are trying to arrange an orientation, revamp curriculum, and prepare staff and existing volunteers.🙏🏼If you are interested in volunteering, please submit an application.

🐾❤️Disclaimer: Most dogs that are at the shelter are larger breeds, and majority of them are bullies. Ranging anywhere from 50-80 pounds. As we do have small dogs occasionally, we are desperately in need of help for our large K9 friends!❤️🐾Volunteers must be 18+ and older.
