Joshua's House for Golden Retriever Rescue is all volunteer 501(c)3 non-profit dog rescue group. We are based in Citrus County Florida. We are a dedicated group of dog lovers who find forever homes for stray, abused or abandoned Golden Retrievers or Golden mixes. We have no age limit from birth to Hospice Care. We raise awareness to health care , spay and neutering and to education of the communit

Number 2 is now the right side is the first surgery. They said they have never experienced anything like this before. They said the first surgery and plates should have never broke. But they are calling it a stress fractor in the plate and when the plate broke it rebroke the bone. But they said his bones don’t look healthy. That’s why the cultures and biopsy’s. That’s why they call it the practice of medicine. Because medicine is not an exact science. Each person or pet is just a little bit different. So they do the best they can . It’s just mine and Gabe’s bad luck that he is having so many issues. He has been activity restricted since his first break . Been leash walked and stays all day in a x pen. Has not had free activity since his first break. We had just started to allow a bit of freedom but that didn’t work. So now it’s restriction for three more months. Poor guy.

Poor Gabe he has been through hell and back. I pray this is his last episode with his bones. They put medicated beads in his incision and did cultures and biopsy’s on the leg. Now we wait again. Please pray for complete healing for my baby Gabe. ❤️💕❤️💕❤️💕

Gabe is home. I am cautiously hopeful that he will do ok. The bone has a much bigger plate on it now. But there was no healing to the actual bone. They don’t know why it has not started to heal. So he is on lots of drugs to keep him very quiet and restful and we will see. I pray he heals. 🙏💔😢
