Joshua's House for Golden Retriever Rescue is all volunteer 501(c)3 non-profit dog rescue group. We are a dedicated group of dog lovers who find forever homes for stray, abused or abandoned Golden Retrievers or Golden mixes. We have no age limit from birth to Hospice Care. We raise awareness to health care , spay and neutering and to education of the community to adopting rather than Puppy mills or pet stores. Help people be on the look out for abuse and proper training.

Baby Jordan passed his basic obedience class last night. Joshuas House has been working with Trainer Terah to help get our pups some house manners and become better citizens. In my younger days I had always done competitive training on all my dogs. And I know the importance of them becoming better citizens. It only helps once they are ready for there forever homes. Congratulations Jordan. You made your mom proud. And thank you Faith and Olivia for taking him to class and working with him. You guys rock.

Hi everyone! It's Amy the adoption coordinator for JHGRR. I am seeking applicants that are able to provide a loving home for a senior dog. His name is Jack and he is 8.There is nothing more rewarding than rescuing a dog and he is a true rescue. The home he lived in was not well kept and the last week he was there nobody fed or gave him water. I have heard nothing but good things about this boy. He is a gentleman through and through. He is also a cutie pie. He promises to be a good boy if you open your heart and give him the opportunity

Ok folks I think I am going to live after all. Feel so much better today. Going for my yearly mammogram today. Even got out to do the morning g feeding this AM. It felt so good to feel alive again. Thank you all for your well wishes and prayers they worked.Chest still a killer sore from coughing but oh so much better. ♥️

Let's give a warm welcome to Sadie, a 5 1/2 year old golden retriever. Sadie is a real sweetheart, loves humans, dogs, and cats. Sadie is a medium size golden retriever, at 62 pounds. Her coat is soft, and she will be available for adoption after vetting and a spay. If you are interested in making Sadie your best friend, please submit your application. If you have already submitted your application for another Joshua's House dog but were not selected, just let us know if you are interested in Sadie. Sadie should be available for adoption in about a month.

Little Tucker . Short stack went to UF for a growth on his lip. Mom Marianne asked me to please come with her because she had not been there. We had a great visit. I enjoyed the day. Tucker is so good and so sweet. They did a fine needle aspirate of the growth . She will hear in a couple days as to what it is.She wanted to be proactive in case it’s something bad and her local vet did not feel comfortable removing g or testing it. So up we went. Thank you Marianne for lunch at Cheescake factory and driving. I really enjoyed the day.

Went to UF today with volunteer Marianne. And alum Tucker. She had never been there so she ask me if I could go along with her. To help her navigate the system. Tucker did amazing he is so cute he is the little dog I called the short stack. Marianne is an amazing dog mom. Tucker is a Golden / basset mix , cute, cute mix. We spent course spent most of the day. I am sorry. I do apologize to the person who had an appointment this morning to meet a dog .but I was on emotional over load this morning g. And I just ran out of time getting everything together for the meet and greet. And I just could not get everything ready. I am so sorry. I do my best to try to run a well run rescue , But at times things come up or I just can’t get it all together. I hope people understand. But I have been on an emotional rollercoaster. And sometimes the stress just gets overwhelming . Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Got Eight little mix breed pups. Lab / Golden mix.taking them to the vet this morning. Nancy Watson will help. She picked them up. They are loaded with tapeworms.Tapeworms are caused by fleas. They must of been loaded with fleas. But the guy had given them all Baths. He was in Louisiana and really just could not afford to feed them.So he reached out to Nancy and ask for two big bags of food for his other dogs. For the pups. We need to microchip and vet them. Vaccinate them and do fecals on all eight . That’s going to cost us a fortune. But we need to be sure they are healthy before we place them. ♥️♥️♥️the little black ones are all males we have I think Nancy said two blond females all the rest males. Some of the service dog groups actually breed for Golden/ lab mixes., the labs are hearty to help with activities and the goldens are soft . Sweet which makes a really nice mix.

Shelby another happy , healthy alum. Love our alums to death. This makes all the work, worry and money worth it all. I live for the happy ever afters .
