Got to do this super fun groom on Kali 🤩 Made possible with the help of my awesome sister Kelsey. Kali knows she looks good & she’s excited about the extra attention she will get! ☺️ In case anyone is interested in something like this, and also because I know dying dog’s fur can be a controversial subject, I just want to mention a few things below. Most dogs are not a good candidate for this. They have to be used to grooming and have good table manners. Dogs must also have healthy skin and fur for this to be successful. Kali is a perfect candidate because she is in our salon every 3 weeks & she looks forward to her spa trips. Grooming is a very normal part of her life. Dogs who are shy around people will not benefit from something like this because it will bring unwanted attention to them. On the other hand, dogs who love attention will enjoy the extra looks & love they receive. It’s also important to know that dog safe dye was used, is FDA approved, toxic free, and utilizes food safe coloring. You should not pick up any dye and apply it to your dog. We also did a small patch test on Kali a separate day to make sure she was not allergic to it in any way. We also broke Kali’s groom up into two separate days so she wasn’t on the table any longer than she is during a normal groom. Kali, Kelsey, & I all had a fun and safe time together & we hope you can see that 😊
