We’ve met so many amazing people since 2018 when Dirty Dog opened! It’s the best “job” I “never” had because of all of you! We are so grateful for your support of our little nonprofit on Lamourie! With you, we did great things with few resources in the rescue arena (and had one nasty little battle with a few Colorado folks who tried to turn our first rescue mission around on us hoping to secure additional funding for themselves 😒. Oh well, what are you gonna do?) Sending everyone our heartfelt thanks as we make the decision to announce our closure. A 5th surgical procedure is around the corner for me on this right hand! I’ve been putting it off, but need to take care of me. Hope to see you all again! Stop by for coffee sometime!!! I can still make coffee ☕️ while I recuperate!!❤️ Much love, everybody!

Sweet Molly passed away and was found on the farm by her family. Everyone thanks you so much and is humbled by the number of shares her post received. She was much loved and is missed terribly by family and her best furfriend forever, Rhys.

Thanks everyone! I broke my hand when my pinky hyperextended bathing a jumpy pup!🤣. It required surgery of all crazy things and a couple screws. But, I’m feeling good!!! I love you guys! You’re the best!

I’ve never had a greater bond with a fluffy pup in my life! Bram was waiting to be my nurse after surgery this evening! This right here is love straight from the ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️!!!! .

A little about Dirty Dog, Inc

Dirty Dog, Inc. is not your typical grooming and boarding business. Dirty Dog, Inc is a non-profit that benefits local animal rescue organizations! Utilizing approx. 1500 sq. ft. of our home, we’ve converted space into a fun and eclectic environment for your fur babies! We created a tiny general store for dogs, themed boarding suites with plenty of room to play, and we serve up freshly baked dog treats in the front lobby every day. We even offer pet portraits, done in acrylics or pencil (colored or charcoal.) All our services are tax deductible to our loyal customers (and, we couldn’t be happier about that!)

We also serve as a food bank ~ and receive and distribute donations of not just food but equipment for area rescue groups. We love to participate in fee grooming services for them, aid in their fundraisers, and offer overflow boarding space when available. Currently, we are proud to partner with Beaudreaux’s Animal Rescue Krewe, B.A.R.K., in Alexandria.
