We have almost no staff right now. And we are still getting call ins.
Because of this we will stop daycare today. We will continue boarding thru the week next week, running a skeleton crew to just take care of our boarders.
We will not be answering phones so we can concentrate on the animals’ care. Please email with any questions or concerns. I can assure you our top priority right now is animal care.
We are working to transfer our feline friends to Pittsfield to have a seamless transition to that location, our cat boarding will remain the same. We will continue our boarding until September 4th where I believe our last boarding dog will go home, and will have a few come to Pittsfield.
Grooming will have to pause for a couple weeks as we need to build a few things in the Pittsfield building to ready the area. We are still grooming in lee until September 5th.
As for the future- there is quite a bit of interest in buying the building and continuing a dog daycare and boarding facility and I am hopeful this will happen, and will keep everyone updated here.
Pittsfield is still running as smooth as ever, and we will be working on our expansion as soon as we are settled down with Lee.
I just want to say thank you to all our loving customers who have warmed my broken heart with amazing words of kindness and positivity. This is an absolutely devastating yet necessary decision, and as I see more and more small business owners talking about the lack of a labor force, the lackadaisical attitudes, frequent call outs and general no interest in working that we are all dealing with, I know I am not alone.
