Willow was getting some love today. This is at our 2nd live nativity this weekend. One more tomorrow and one next week and our season is officially over.

For any of you that know Willows back story she was saved from a kill auction. We then bought her. She was 80 # underweight and had been abused badly. I could barely touch her the first 6 months we had her and it took 2 years before she’d eat out of my hand. She had been pregnant but the baby was born 10 days after we got her and did not survive after the 5 th day. Three years later she’s still timid with adults but loves kids. She sniffs them and nuzzles them and feels safe with them all around her giving her love. You can see in the picture her ears are back and her head is hanging low which in donkey language means she is very very very relaxed.

I posted the before pictures of the barn….now for the new and improved finished barn! Once again my husband has out done himself. He always brings my vision to life.

Barn floor poured. Lots of upgrades taking place here. New stalls being built next to keep the boys from the girls and so everyone has their own stall to eat in. No more bullying from tango to eat everyone’s grain lol and no more floods making a sess pool of muck

Thanks to my BIL and his business I can dig it! They did the majority of the work for us.

Please consider donating. Trish is my niece n law and my nephew Bill. He will be missing a lot of days of work over the next several months to be there for Trish. He has FMLA but that is unpaid leave. As well as the cost of travel to and from the hospital, parking fees and meals he has to buy while at the hospital and any uncovered medical expenses now and in the future. She will spend months in rehab learning how navigate a world without her leg and with a new prosthetic leg. It all adds up quickly and become overwhelming when you’re already overwhelmed with your wife health and knowing their way of life has changed forever.

There is also going to be a bake sale sept 12 at the gathering on grant st vandergrift.

I am currently booked up till the end of October. Now booking for November and we do have a nativity package for December for any churches or organizations that are doing a live nativity.

When the neighbor calls and says I’m looking at a pig? I’m like ohhh yep he’s mine! I’m coming to get him. Luckily fig realized fern wasn’t down there and started for home on his own. And our neighbors are farmers themselves so wasn’t upset by the sight of a strange pig in their yard!
