A look into some of the orders that went out last week.

First, a direct to consumer order for pickup at our farm in Lee's Summit.

Second, Side/Mini Salad Kits with Balsamic Vinaigrette for Pleasant Ridge Farms store "The FARMacy" open on the weekend in Pleasant Hill. (She’s got it all🙌) These are already sold out for this week.

Third, 10lbs of mixed heads and edible flowers heading to a chef.

Fourth, Cucumbers going to a cocktail lounge, cafe, and open dining table concept restaurant. Some of our local favorite spots around town.

Fifth, Buzz Buttons/Toothache ordered to go into my mouth because I love a wild sensation.

We are restocking twice a week at Sunfresh in Westport and cannot thank this community enough for the support.

Happy National Agriculture Week to all farmers out there putting chemical-free food back into their community! As a farmer, you don't always see the fruits (💵) of your hard work but you do get the opportunity to positively impact your community.

From donating 365lbs in our first year of farming to the 12+ hour days selling, growing, packaging, and distributing I'm facing now, it has never felt more right to celebrate. Raise a glass (kombucha or a marg) to all the dedicated farmers out there, we're working hard to give you the food your body needs for longevity.🥗

Nona, Angela Nigro, the hat lady around town who was never afraid to “tell it like it is!”
My mom, a hard worker and the furthest thing from selfish. She’s an amazing cook, and Italian cuisine is her specialty.
Aunt Mimi, the president of UBF, a strategic guidance provider, and a lover of supporting the community. She turns ‘big pictures’ into reality.
Aunt Ju, a healthy and sustainable lifestyle advocate since day one. Always on top of fashion trends just by being herself.
My sister, a world traveler inspiring others to make life work for them and not the other way around.

A new posting series called ‘It can look like this, or it can look like that…’

I used to purchase basil from a walk-in wholesale store restaurants in Kansas City have access to. (yes, I asked the shopper to pick the absolute freshest) I assume this is just a real bad batch and it’s usually useable but comes with shorter shelf life and tons of chemicals sprayed on it left to linger on the plants. 🥴

Point is, it can be grown in Kansas City, chemical free, and harvested right before delivery from Urban Bounty Farms or it can be filled with pesticides and herbicides and harvested and transported all the way from Colombia. Your pick, we are here for you either way. 🫶

PS the basil pictured first went to .culture.kombucha for a fresh batch of Peach Basil 🌿 🤤

I smile big after long days knowing Urban Bounty Farms and other KC farmers are working towards a common goal. Building businesses/farms that can provide sustainable, chemical-free goods grown/made/raised and consumed in Kansas City.
