Canine and feline dental cleaning is very important because dental health is linked to a pet's overall health. Dental disease is common in dogs and cats and can lead to other health problems. Here are some reasons why dental cleaning is important:

Preventative care: Regular dental cleanings can help prevent plaque buildup, gingivitis, periodontal disease, and tooth loss.

Early detection: A veterinarian can check for early signs of dental problems, such as loose or broken teeth.

Overall health: Dental disease can lead to heart disease, kidney disease, lung disease, and liver disease.

Comfort: Dental disease can be uncomfortable for pets.

Cost: Regular dental cleanings can help avoid expensive treatments.

How often a dog's or cat's teeth should be cleaned depends on their age, breed, and lifestyle. Some recommend scheduling an annual dental appointment, and more frequent visits for dogs prone to dental problems.

You can also help keep your dog's and cat's teeth clean at home by brushing their teeth regularly and using dental treats or chews.

Hello, my name is Hank the tank.
I have recently been on a binge of eating too many snacks. My humans feel sorry for me because I am so cute. Long story not so short I have gained 4.8 pounds in the last six months. I have come to KB animal Hospital a.k.a. the chubby farm for assistance in my weight loss journey. I now am going to be on a special prescription diet food, and an exercise regimen. I'm not sure that I'm going to enjoy any of this, but I want you to come along on my journey. I think journey is an overused word so let's call it a challenge! My current weight is 22.8 pounds. My belly size is 24inches (I think that means I look like a runway model, but they tell me thatโ€™s not ideal for a cat). I'm going to do once a month check ins. Feel free to follow my story and show support while I go through this weight loss challenge. ๐Ÿ‹๏ธ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ“‰
I will eventually be up for adoption so if you fall in love with me during this challenge feel free to reach out to KB Animal Clinic for more information. โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ
