***Spock is waiting so patiently for his forever home!!!***

Spock is a neutered male, estimated to have been born around October/November of 2021. He was rescued as a baby from a situation where too many rabbits were being kept outside in a small shed. He is currently rooming with his litter mates (Kirk, Uhura, McCoy, and Scotty) and would most likely make a great pair with any of them. He can often be found snuggling his brothers and sisters, and it is logical that he would also snuggle up to a human who could spend some time earning his trust. He does well with his litterbox and loves to eat anything he gets – hay, pellets, and greens!

If you are interested in Spock, please email us at [email protected].

Snow and Tofu are bonded siblings who are very sweet. Both are neutered/spayed. The female, Tofu, is still shy but will come out for pets when she feels comfortable. She will do her binkies as well. Snow loves his bananas still!!! They both go nuts for their little pellets. He gets the zoomies and binkies almost every evening. They run up to their foster parents first thing in the morning and lay down for morning pets. They don’t like to be picked up. She will never let you pick her up. He will let you hold him for a few minutes then he’s done with it. They do great with their litter box and they love their lettuce. Throughout the day they are very content and will just sprawl out in the middle of the floor by each other to sleep and they appear to feel very safe. He is very curious and will stand on his hind legs a lot trying to look around. They will not come off their carpet. They certainly do not like the wood floor so they have a little carpet runner from their cage into the kitchen. They love to run in when they think they are about to get a treat and they love to jump up into their bunny house. If you are interested in this bonded pair, please email us at [email protected].

Rabbits are social animals! Most rabbits crave the companionship of another rabbit. Adopting a friend for your bunny is giving him or her a gift of joy. It also saves two additional lives: the one you bring into your family and the new space you’ve made available at the rescue organization for another rabbit to be rescued.

Here are a few considerations with two bunnies:

• Rabbits must be spayed/neutered.
• Bonding must be done carefully. Rabbits are territorial and can seriously harm each other if introduced improperly.
• Costs will increase (food, hay, litter, veterinary care).
• Pairs are less destructive because they are less prone to boredom.
• Rabbits grieve the loss of a friend and will need a new companion after a period of mourning.

Truly, one of the best things that you can do for your rabbit is to help find a friend for life. Help him or her get out and mingle! Adopt a friend for your single!!

This pair was rescued by the neighbors of the people who had them and moved away…leaving the bunnies behind in an outdoor cage. Peter is the brown lop, and Scrunch is his lovely wife. Both are neutered/spayed, and we think they are about 2 years old. Because they were outside previously, they are a little afraid of noises and will run for their hideout for safety (sort of like PTSD). They are very bonded, and Scrunch likes to follow Peter around wherever he goes. They are timid when meeting new humans because as outside rabbits, they weren’t used to interacting with humans that often, but once comfortable, they love coming to you for pets. Their potty skills are good and hopefully will improve even more over time. They love eating lettuce leaves, fruits such as apples and grapes (given in limited amounts, of course). They really enjoy their stackable cups that are filled with pellets. They are quite busy much of the time, now being able to explore their new surroundings without the confine of an outdoor hutch. Peter and Scrunch are super sweet, and have already adjusted to their new foster home, for which their foster mom is thrilled. If you would like to adopt Peter and Scrunch, please email us at [email protected].

Please meet Vincent Van Gogh, affectionately known as “Vinnie”! This charming grey rabbit is not just a bunny; he’s a work of art waiting to bring joy and companionship to your home. Vinnie, at about two years old, has already stolen the hearts of everyone who meets him. Despite his somewhat tattered ears, which tell a story of his past life in close quarters with other rabbits, Vinnie is the epitome of resilience. Those tattered ears add a unique touch to his appearance, showcasing the battles he’s overcome and the loving spirit that defines him. Vinnie is not just a pretty face; he’s also a well-behaved bunny. He has impeccable litterbox manners, making him an ideal companion for any household. This delightful rabbit has a personality as vibrant as his namesake. Vinnie enjoys hopping around, exploring his surroundings, and nibbling on his favorite treats. Whether he’s binkying around or simply lounging in his cozy corner, Vinnie is sure to add warmth and charm to your home. Hi! It’s Rose here! (of Rose and Poe bonded pair) I’m just hopping by to spill the beans - us bunnies are totally obsessed with hidey boxes! Know why? They make us feel like we’re in a super cool, secret bunny club, and give us a place to chill if we need a break - kinda like our natural instinct to live in a burrow, but way more fun! Here are some pictures of my favorite box! I even have a cute window to peek out and make funny faces at Poe! I’m bonded to Poe, but if I wasn’t, this box would’ve been my Valentine this year - it’s that awesome! Okay, well I’m off to take a nap or something! Thanks for reading!

Ps. We are available for adoption! 🐰🐰

Rose (black, female) and Poe (grey and white, male) are a bonded pair of rabbits estimated to be about 3 years old. Both are spayed/neutered. Rose and Poe love to be petted and they melt down into the ground when they are receiving their pets. They don’t want to be picked up, but they will rush up to you begging for attention and food. They go nuts for their daily pellets and love to throw around their stackable cups when they are hangry. They are very food motivated, and their favorite treats are cilantro, lettuce, apples, and hay. After their very stressful day of napping and snacking, they both flop onto the ground very dramatically and lay contently on their sides. Poe has an adorable white belly that he shows off when he is flopped over on his side or standing up checking out his world. They both love to do binkies and put on a little show in the evenings when they run around and jump crazily into the air. Rose and Poe are very curious in their surroundings and like to know what is going on whenever anyone enters the room. They are looking for a new home full of love and attention. If you are interested in Rose and Poe, please email us at [email protected].

Augusta and her daughters and have all been spayed and are bonded together. They are all great with their litter boxes and are big hay eaters. They also love their evening salads and any treats! Momma enjoys her head rubs, and like her son Hamilton, melts into the floor. Angelica (brown) and Eliza (white) prefer not to be pet, as of now, but will come up and see what’s going on when their foster mom is in their area or while she is making salad. None of them enjoy being picked up or held. They are all quite active, especially the girls, and love playing in their tunnels! They also are chewers and need lots of good things to chew on (like palm plates and apple sticks) as well as a large area to play. They’d love a home with a well bunny proofed room to exercise and lots of time out. If you are interested in this bonded trio, please email us at [email protected].

***ED NEEDS A VALENTINE!!!***

Ed is a two-year-old neutered male who came from a situation where too many rabbits were kept together in a shed outdoors. While he was living in this overcrowded situation, he suffered some injuries to his back that needed to be treated when he was brought to the vet. The vet had to shave his back to treat the punctures, but the hair is growing back nicely now and will probably not even be noticeable in the future! Despite his rough start in life, he is a very sweet boy now, albeit camera shy. He is a little shy at first, but he can easily be bribed with treats like apples and bananas. He also loves to eat greens, hay, and pellets. He may do well with a spayed female to spend the rest of his days with. If you are interested in Ed, please email us at [email protected].

Dax and Toffee are a bonded pair of rabbits, both neutered and spayed. Dax is the spotted one and Toffee is black. They both were found running loose in a neighborhood in October 2022 and we believe they were under a year old at the time. They love their daily fresh veggies and a treat of apple, banana, blueberry, grape or dried cranberry. They’re very curious so they like to search every area of the room and flipping their stacking cups is a favorite thing they like to do. Both enjoy chewing cardboard and playing with other toys too. We always have cardboard available for them. Dax will try to nibble on some carpet and wood but is easily redirected. Bunny-proofing is a must where they will free roam. They are both healthy, but Toffee has a persistent head tilt. She gets around the familiar environment of their pen – she jumps and zooms around in there. She will tentatively walk around when exploring new environments. She can effectively scan her surroundings using her left/top eye. Functionally, Toffee is able to hop in and out of the litter box, eat hay, eats pellets out of a bowl, pick up food off the floor and drink water out of a bowl – all the things an upright bunny can do! Dax and Toffee are both very soft and open to being petted, especially when they have had a chance to get to know someone. They like moving their hidey house and toys around in their pen. Their litter box skills are good. They are both very sweet and would be a fun pair of bunnies to have in your home. If you are interested in Dax and Toffee, please email us at [email protected].

DO YOU HAVE A LITTLE EXTRA LOVE IN YOUR HEART?

Foster homes are urgently needed. The MOHRS is receiving so many requests to accept bunnies into our rescue. Without more available foster homes, we are forced to say no. We need fosters for all types of rabbits – young, not young, small, big, bonded pairs, cuddly, independent, etc.

Please consider opening your home to a bunny in need. You provide love, we cover many of the costs associated with their care, including approved vet visits and help with pens, bedding and hay. If you are interested in fostering one of our rescued rabbits, please email us at [email protected].

Chewbacca is estimated to have been born in late 2021. His nickname is Chewie. He was rescued from a situation where too many rabbits were being kept outdoors in a small shed. He is a curious bunny who likes to see what is going on. While hesitant at first to interact closely with people he doesn’t know yet, he warms up. He loves his hay and treats and is great with his litterbox skills. Chewie is hopeful to have a female companion and a loving home where he can live out his life and have a happy ending. If you are interested in adopting Chewie, please email us at [email protected].
