In celebration of Donna Evans' remarkable legacy, Lakewood Animal Health Center will be closed until 1 pm tomorrow, allowing staff to reflect on the profound joy and love she shared with everyone who walked through our doors. May we continue her legacy by spreading kindness tomorrow. 💚

After a very short battle with cancer, we are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Donna Jean Evans, who left us peacefully on December 29, 2024, at the age of 67.

Funeral Mass will be held Friday, January 10th at 10 am.

Donna Evans is our biggest fan and your best advocate! After 22 years at Lakewood Animal Health Center she is entering her own personal battle with recently diagnosed cancer. While we are all devastated, we are joining her in encouragement and prayer as she focuses 100% on her health, family, and faith!

We have a special book for you to write an encouraging note! Please feel free to stop by anytime! Prayers are appreciated as we advocate on her behalf!

Happy Veterinary Technician Week to Crystal, Cassie, Tammy, Hannah, and Sam! These wonderful ladies take excellent care of your pets and are tireless advocates for their patients. They keep us running smoothly.

Client brought in 2 small dogs found running on Dick Howser in Lakewood. They have been transferred to LS shelter. You will need to be able to tell the shelter what these dogs look like in order to claim.

Most of the time we close for staff wide educational meetings, but sometimes we focus on team bonding. This past Tuesday, we set out on a Lee’s Summit scavenger hunt adventure! We “interacted” with murals, got damp at the splash pad, showed our emotions at the theatre, played connect 4 at Custard’s, reinacted battles at the park, found the KC hearts, visited BBQ joints, posed like Jack and Rose from Titanic, and much more! One team even invited strangers into their vehicle for extra points (now THAT was an awkward ask!).
