Colleen Paige of the Animal Miracle Foundation started the day to raise awareness of holistic health, which considers a pet's mind, body, and spirit. Have you ever wondered how a Cheetah brushes his teeth? 🐆🪥
Viserion, one of the majestic cheetahs residing at Chehaw Park & Zoo, recently underwent his routine examination. To coincide with Dental Month, we also took this time to perform a dental cleaning to keep Viserion’s teeth in tip top condition. As you might expect, cheetah checkups can be quite an undertaking! To ensure Viserion received the best possible care, he received careful anesthesia, keeping him safe and comfy while his heart rate and breathing were closely monitored. He’s now back at the zoo, proudly showing off his shiny teeth! 🦷✨

Rusty, our beloved red-ruffed lemur friend from Chehaw Zoo, recently underwent surgery after injuring his hand. Thanks to the experienced and skilled hands of our doctors and staff, Rusty is on the mend and back to his playful self! He is currently back on exhibit. Although he lost a few fingers, his spirit remains unbroken. We're thrilled to see him thriving again!
