A portion of the proceeds of your meal will be donated right back to our nonprofit. Make sure you mention us when you check out!

While Moe cannot eat chipotle, he will enjoy all the training sessions/snacks/veterinary care funded by donations that come from your chipotle. So, order extra queso and guacamole and bring your whole family! We hope to see you there!

Happy Sunday!

Moe is in an incredibly curious this weekend! As he observes his foster siblings enjoying positive interactions with humans, his interest in people grows and maybe his jealousy too. His fosters are doing a great job spending quality time with him, letting him sniff around, offering treats, and even giving pets! With continued patience and care, we’re confident that Moe will come to see just how kind humans can be!

Today, Iris enjoyed a much-needed pedicure... of sorts.

Upon her arrival, Iris’s hooves were long and overgrown, resembling someone walking in high heels! With nutritional gaps in her previous diet, her hooves suffered. However, after transitioning to a new diet and incorporating , Iris’s hooves blossomed into strength and health!

Despite her past lack of hoof care, Iris always stands patiently for the farrier. It’s her unique way of expressing gratitude for her spa day!

We have someone we would love for you to meet! 🎉

Meet Moe- Moe is a 12 year old mini mule. Moe was recently placed into a local foster, after being surrendered by his owner.

Moe is reluctant to become friends with his new-found humans, but is super curious about us. Treats for sure win Moe over.

Moe loves mid-day snacks and frolicking with his friend!

Earlier this year we received a marketing grant through the Virginia Horse Industry Board.This grant has allowed us to finally have funding to work on developing and launching a website.

Additionally, we now have a monthly contribution option under the "contribute" tab.

We are extremely grateful for the support of the Virginia Horse Industry Board, and Alex Dukes our wonderful web designer.

Iris says hello! She requests many treats and lots of belly rubs! Her new coat is coming in, and her old prickly coat is shedding out.

Why is that?
When donkeys like Iris are provided adequate nutrition, as well as minerals and supplements, and grooming practices their coats becomes stronger which allows for a softer coat. Her previous coat was weak and brittle because of inadequate nutrition, and inadequate grooming practices.

We couldn’t be more proud of Iris, her coat is just one sign of how far she has come.
