Ah yes, that feeling in between Christmas and New Years when you don’t know what day it is or what you’re supposed to be doing 🤪

Here are our hours for the upcoming New Years Holiday:
New Years Eve (Tuesday, 12/31): open from 3pm-7pm
New Years Day (Wednesday, 1/1): CLOSED

You may feel inclined to share some of your holiday plate, but it can lead to some serious GI issues!

Between now and January two of the most common cases to walk through our doors will be pets experiencing pancreatitis and pets who have ingested ham bones and turkey bones that broke into pieces and have become stuck in their digestive tract. Please be cautious of what you allow your pet to eat on Thanksgiving. When in doubt, just don’t do it. Check out some of our other posts for detailed safety tips!

Our face when the mashed potatoes are uncovered 🤤♥️

With Thanksgiving quickly approaching, we wanted to send out a few holiday safety reminders. 🦃

❗️ Avoid sharing your Thanksgiving dinner with your furry family member. A lot of our human foods contain extra ingredients and fat that may be harmful or potentially toxic to our pets. It’s better to just stick with their normal diet to not encourage GI upset!

❗️ Take out the trash! Don’t forget your tasty turkey leftovers and bones in the trash can. It will smell mighty tempting to your pets, and can cause a whole plethora of issues if ingested.

❗️ Give your pet a safe place. If you are having guests over or your pet is particularly anxious, consider giving them a quiet area away from the commotion. If at any point your male feline friend is showing that he is having issues urinating, he should be seen IMMEDIATELY.

LUV will be closed on Thursday, 11/28 so our staff may take a well deserved day off and celebrate the holiday with the loved ones. We will resume normal hours on Friday, 11/29 from 3-10pm. 🐾♥️
