That’s a wrap on a year to remember!!🎁 We couldn’t be more proud of our riders this past year for their accomplishments both in and out of the saddle! This year was filled with many new horse and rider partnerships, stepping up to higher divisions, and reaching horsemanship goals. Not only that, but Cavallo Farms celebrated having our new indoor arena by hosting the new Silver Dollar Horse Show Series this winter! Thank you to all of our clients, riders, and staff who made it such a wonderful year! We can’t wait to see what 2025 holds!!🎉🎊

Cavallo Farm riders went out with a BANG at Culpeper Final this weekend!!!💥 Everyone had beautiful rounds with many stepping up into higher divisions and even some new partnerships!
Elizabeth Mumford and both of her mounts shined, earning top ribbons in the Low Children’s hunters on August West and topping off Sunday with the back-to-back WINS in The League Bit of Straw Derby on August West then the .65 Jumper Classic on Vagabond!!🏆💙
Tracy Romito and Make it Rain stepped into the 3’ Adult Hunters with style and grace, laying down great rounds!!
Commander in Chief and Rhian Williams also had lovely rounds in the Low Children’s Hunters, earning a 4th, 7th, and 8th in their competitive division!!
Take Z Charge and Jenny Ziessman had top placings all weekend in the Low Adult Hunters, impressing us all with their first show together!🎉
Our jumpers had a super weekend as well!!
Marie Bertozzi with Open Water finished the weekend with speedy rounds, earning 4th in the .90s and a 7th in the classic!! Lily Allen with En Vogue had terrific rounds and earned a 9th place finish in the .90 jumper classic!🏎️

What a stellar weekend from our junior riders at Middleburg Classic!!🤍🥳Elizabeth Mumford with August West and Rhian Williams with Commander in Chief both had fantastic rides in the 2’6 Jr/Am Hunters, bringing home great ribbons in a very competitive division!!
We’re so proud of our team this week and are excited for this next week of showing at Culpepper!🔜🔜🔜

Meet your 2024 MHSA Adult Medal Finals Champion and Reserve riders. Emilia Cayelli and Anna Carver bested the field and took the top two places after a beautiful first round, smooth flat phase, and en effortless test. Emilia Cayelli and King Midas scored an 87 and Anna Carver and Knockout scored an 84 in the first round to help them secure champion and reserve. Congratulations girls, you deserve it!! 💙❤️

Loudoun Benefit was a success!!
Our jumpers were on fire with lots of clear blue rounds.
Marie Bertozzi and Isabella Bertozzi rode Open Water to some awesome rounds. They took home many blue ribbons and Marie took home a second place in the .80s losing by 1 second to her barn mate Anna Carver who took the win.
The Carver family had a great weekend, Anna carver took the win in the .80s class along with a second in the VHSA Adult Eq on the flat on her horse, Knockout. Kristina Carver was 7th in the VHSA Jr Eq on the flat with Knockout, she also had great rounds in the children and in the Gary Baker Junior/Amateur Derby on her horse Adamo, and last Vizma Carver had a clear blue ribbon round in the .80s.
Lily Allen and En Vogue had a speedy and clean round to take the win in the .85m Junior/Amateur Jumper Stake.
Talia Baghdoyan and King Midas had great rounds taking 2nd in the Ariat Adult Medal and 3rd in the VHSA Adult Medal, this pair also had fabulous rounds in the Younger Adult Amateurs with Emilia Cayelli taking the reins on Saturday.
Jessica Knight and Marcus Aurelius had some fantastic rounds in the Middle Adult Amateur taking top ribbons in the competitive class.
Maeve Schlueter and Luna Noir took home awesome ribbons in the very big, Small/Medium Children’s Pony Hunter division.
Our Low Amateurs had some great rounds!
Katie McAfee took 3rd with an 84.25 and 6th in the giant class with Ducati.
Jenny Ziessman and Plausible Deniability had great rounds in the massive class as well.
Elizabeth Mumford and August West had fantastic rides in the Low Children’s Hunters.
So happy that we had such great weather at such a beautiful place.

A little late, but Cavallo had an outstanding weekend at McDonogh!

- Anna Carver was Champion in the Adult eq and secured top ribbons in the Pre Adults.
- Her sister, Kristina Carver, earned great ribbons in the Children’s, including a class win.
- The rest of our Pre Adults were on fire! 🔥
- Isabella Bertozzi and Ducati were Champion, winning 3 out of 4 classes.
- Christine Witt and Limoncello had a fantastic first show together.
- Jenny and Cruise had impressive rounds, taking home great ribbons.
- Michaella and Mac had a stellar first show together, achieving excellent placings in their respective classes.
- Susie and Colston also had a wonderful show, earning great ribbons in their respective classes.
- Zari and Bond had speedy rounds in the jumpers, their first time out.
- Marie Bertozzi and Isabella Bertozzi rode Blitz to a first and a fifth place in the jumpers.
- Elizabeth and Beau were Champions in the Low Children’s!

The new indoor has turned out better than expected! Excited to ride in it year round - open and airy in the Summer and dry in the Winter. Loving it! Hope to have shows soon so you can all come and enjoy it!

We are thrilled to welcome our new assistant trainer, Elle Martin, to the Cavallo Farm team!! 🎉Elle is graduating from Fresno State this Spring with her degree in Business-Sports Marketing after being a four-year rider on their D1 Equestrian Team. In her summers back home in Southern California, she’s spent her time developing her skills as a working student for a successful sales and consignment barn. During her junior career, she’s competed in all three rings and has brought along numerous green horses. Elle has a passion for creating joyful partnerships between horse and rider so we are very excited to see all she’ll to do elevate the Cavallo Farms experience!✨🤍

Calling all Horse Lovers! Saddle up for some serious fun this summer at Cavallo Riding Center Horse Lovers Camp in Leesburg!

Cavallo Riding Center (CRC), part of Cavallo Farm, is bringing back their Horse Lovers Camp. Designed for campers who have never ridden a horse or been exposed to one and want to learn about what it is like to be around horses and ponies. Campers will also learn what it is like to ride a pony/horse via a daily supervised lesson or trail ride. During the trail ride or lesson, the horse will be led by the instructor to ensure the safety of the camper.

Campers are organized into similar age groups with no more than five per group and rotate daily through five stations:

Horse Care
Grooming/Horse Knowledge
Tacking/Untacking a Horse/Pony
Riding
Horse Related Craft/Activity
Ages: Camp is for ages 5-10.

Camp Hours: Mornings: 9:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Camp Weeks (Monday-Thursday):
June 17 - June 20
June 24 - June 27
July 8 - July 11
July 15 - July 18
July 22 - July 25
July 29 - August 1
August 5 - August 8

🦄 Xander Rappaport had a fantastic show with Colston, jumping to the win in one of their Adult Hunter rounds! He also jumped to many ribbons with his new mount Bonaire, we can’t wait to watch this pair continue to grow together! 🦄

👻 Katie Hess and Space Ghost were Champion in the open 1.10 jumpers to finish out our fantastic week! 👻
