We are expanding our Team and are now in Immediate need of a Part Time (3 days per week) Stable / Farm Hand to help take care of horses in equine boarding facility. Responsibilities Include help care for 40+ horses - cleaning stalls, filling and cleaning water buckets, blanketing and handling horses for turn in / out. Also farm maintenance and upkeep to Include dragging arenas , trail maintenance, repairing fences and additional duties as assigned. Pay starting from $15.00 per hour, with a minimum of 30 hours guaranteed. Schedule required to work are Thursday, Saturday and Sundays but will change as needed. Also farm maintenance and upkeep to Include dragging arenas , trail maintenance, driving farm tractors , manure spreaders, round bales. Additional duties as assigned. Pay starting from $15.00 per hour but negotiable based upon experience.

Westview Stables Welcomes New Management

Westview Stables is refreshing its historic 1,000 acre plus boarding facility. Located just minutes from historic Leesburg, off of Hogback Mountain Road (Route 15 South from Leesburg) Westview owner George Huber is managing the farm and investing in the facility to update fixtures, fencing and improve the experience for both horse and human. Westview Stables offers 40 full care stalls and several large field board pastures.

“This beautiful mountain has been in my family for 45 years,” said Huber whose two sons operate Stone Tower Winery and Hogback Paint Ball on adjacent properties. “Thirty years ago my family had race horses and fox hunters here – over the years several people have operated boarding here, but now that I’m retired and living in the U.S. full-time, my family decided to take over operations, update the facility, and restore it.”

Westview boasts two outdoor arenas, and indoor arena, round pen, race track with an infield for riding, cross country jumps, two large barns, small and large group turnout, field board, and miles of maintained trails. Outside trainers are welcome.
