Save the date!

We are privileged to offer a flyball seminar with Shelly Switick of Precision Flyball on April 26-27. Full details coming soon!

Here is a description from Shelly:

Boot camp with Shelly Switick of Precision Flyball Training is the perfect opportunity to test the water with the sport of Flyball. Shelly has 15 years of Flyball experience and has worked with breeds of dogs, from the dachshund to a borzoi! This seminar will work through jumps, retrieve, driving away from the handler, basic box turns, working with other dogs, focusing with distractions, trading, impulse control and controlling arousal. Even if you are Flycurious or want to see the cross-training benefits in other dog sports - check it out today! Ages 4-7 months are recommended for a 1 day spot (exceptions can be made) and dogs 7 months and older can participate in multiple working days. There will be maximum working time - with a lot of fast talking lecture thrown in so I can share as much of my training methods and secret sauce as possible.

Looking forward to working with Shelly!

It was a Snifftastic weekend for our Scent Students! For the NASCW NW1 title, teams must successfully pass all four elements (containers, exterior, interior & vehicles) at the same trial with a score of 100 and no more than 3 faults.

⭐️Emily & Mira earned their NW1 title in their first attempt this past Sunday in Marriottsville, MD! Emily reports “Mira normally hates the cold but did an amazing job, and we both had so much fun together!” .

⭐️ Matt & Red also trialed in Marriottsville, MD for their first NACSW nosework trial on Sunday. They did great and Red earned his NW1 as well!

Please help us in congratulating these teams! 🍾🎉

Our Philosophy

A Click Above, LLC is a partnership built on passion and excellence. Our combined expertise spans several decades (more than we care to admit!) and across many venues - from agility to obedience to breed and beyond.

We employ positive reinforcement and operant training methods to achieve our impressive results. "Clicker training" is at the heart of this philosophy and enables us to teach everything from basic manners to tricks to complex handling. We believe everything for the dog - and handler - should be fun and enjoyable.

Most of our classes have multiple instructors to ensure each student gets the time and attention needed to build rewarding partnerships that will last a lifetime.

Our facility has one indoor building with sprint turf footing measuring 100' x 125'. We are able to divide the area to safely hold two concurrent classes with enough room left for crating. The building is fully heated in winter and air conditioned in summer, providing both dogs and handlers the ability to comfortably train year-round.
