‼️ AFTER STORM ALERT‼️

Community members: be prepared for more sightings of wildlife than usual after Storm Debby. Excess rain and flooding causes low lying fragmented preserve spaces to go completely underwater. This means wildlife will have no choice but to seek higher ground- your yards. Be understanding that this situation is just as much an emergency to the native wildlife as it is to you. Know that this situation is temporary. Be careful when going outside, wear closed toe shoes and leather gloves or tools while managing clean up. If you find snakes inside your home, use a broom to sweep them out the door. Snakes found outside near your home are likely seeking an area not underwater, and they will typically leave as the water recedes. *Update: the correct ID was infact the elusive venomous coral snake hiding in the grass there. :)

Remember it's rainy season and HOT. Theres also a lot of construction going on, especially in Lehigh! Poor critters are losing their homes at drastic rates. Just yesterday I saw a Florida box turtle roaming around a construction zone. Likely lost his home when they scraped the lot. Be kind to animals, they suffer too. If you see a displaced reptile, or venomous snakes, give us a shout!

This guy had a good humorous attitude today. He and his wife were doing yard work when they came upon a snake! Ken was afraid so his wife covered the snake with a bucket. Ken went in search of snake removal on Google and found us! Happy to help, Ken! Call anytime!
The snake was a harmless black racer which was safely relocated, unharmed. Don't forget if you need us, Bryan or I can do snake removals. :) Bryan handles the venomous relocations and I can assist with non-venomous. Just give a call or text.

Welcome to the world little one!
10/20/23 laid eggs
3/14/24 started hatching.
3/16/24 out of egg today!

These were incubated without an incubator, inside the reptile room, so they take a little longer to hatch sometimes.

His little clutch mates are making their way out too!

A Snake Keepers Christmas

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house

Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.

Which isn't surprising, for all of the mice

Were stuffed in snake bellies or frozen on ice.

The vipers were brumating down in their beds

While visions of spring matings danced in their heads.

The cobras were coiled in their hide boxes deep

And in front of the fireplace, the python asleep.

When out on the lawn, there arose such a clatter

I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter.

And what to my wondering eyes should appear,

But an empty sleigh, and eight frightened reindeer.

And there by the fire my python yawned wide

A red fur trimmed cap disappearing inside.

I wondered what he'd eaten, as it slid out of sight?

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good bite.

*** owner found *** Tortoise found in my yard today. If you know someone missing a tortoise, please message me breed, markings and s*x of tortoise. This is not a gopher. Today this one was in my driveway when I got home from taking my kids to school. It's secured and safe until owner found. Owner must have proof it's yours. Found in Columbus Blvd and 82 area 33974. I will not post photo as markings are unique to this one.

If you're getting cold, so are they!!! Don't forget your reptilian children! Bring them in :) all week. Our outside dinosaurs got their heaters turned on and the babies are all inside.

Caught this Black Racer that we see pretty often in the backyard. They're fast, but I'm faster! He was released unharmed to eat all the frogs and rodents he can find.
