✨Pooka✨

Available for adoption!

Pooka is a 7-year-old hound mix with a heart of gold and a truly unique personality. He thrives on off-leash exercise, enjoys basking in the sun, and loves getting gentle scratches under his chin and along his back legs. Pooka has a love for country music and will even sing along to songs by Adele and “Happy Birthday!”

While Pooka has a history of resource guarding and reactivity to certain stimuli, he has made significant progress in his training with the support of RHA and his devoted former owner. He has reliable recall off leash, is house and crate trained, and has mastered a range of commands. This dog eager, intelligent, and loves to work!

Pooka would flourish in a home with someone experienced in handling high-drive hound or working breeds, where he can receive the confidence and commitment he needs.

Speaking of adoptions, Ranger has been adopted!! 💗

How’s that Vizsla heaven! Ranger also got adopted yesterday and is now living in Vermont and has a new brother, Gio. It didn’t take long for these two to hit it off and can’t wait to follow their adventures!

Casey thank you for opening your home to give him the best new start and to Red Head Acres for helping with training. He’s had a great start to set him up for success 🤩

✨Lola ✨

Available for adoption!!

Lola is a typical high energy, silly, yet sensitive, 2yr old Vizsla. She has been the entertainment of our house for the last few weeks! She has fantastic commands with super strong off leash recall, she has high drive and loves running off leash with her fellow Vizsla friends! She loves to swim! Lola is fully crate and house trained! She is great with public access and just wants to go where you go! We have fallen so in love with this dog, I know wherever she goes she will have that same effect.

Lola has had some past behavioral issues, surrounding sensory/ overstimulation and minor recourse guarding. If she is feeling unsafe, she does have a tenancy to snap. Although we’ve seen Lola’s confidence grow, she needs someone who is confident and willing to continue to work with and educate her. This girl loves to communicate, the more the better! Red Head Acres is willing to work with any adopters on furthering her training!
