This is news we’ve been spreading & shared with many already, but wanted to officially congratulate Mark & Renae on their retirement! This was a tough decision, but we are so glad for these two to enjoy some well-earned rest & time for other pursuits. The VZs still plan to be involved with the horses as a family & look forward to continuing to see everyone at some shows! Thanks to our barn family for having a little celebration with us at the Royal, we’ve so appreciated the support & understanding throughout this process.
Thank you to the many riders and horses who have been part of Team THF for almost 40 years of countless wonderful memories!♥️
P.S. - We will likely continue to post farm updates on this page (Mark is already making plans on how to use the barn for lambing season next spring😆).

Congrats to Gracie Kay on not only making it to Phase II of the UPHA Senior Challenge Cup, but also winning the UPHA American Royal scholarship tonight! We’re so proud of how well-rounded of a young woman you have become & you certainly deserve this recognition.👏♥️

We had an extraordinary time at the IASA Classic Show where the Academy State Championships were held! Not only did every single rider win at least once, but several won their State Championship! But it’s no secret that the best fun was the costume class. 🤭😆

This is long overdue, but we had some great moments at Mane Event last weekend! Proud of how our horses & riders more than held their own in deep competition. Onto the IASA October Classic this weekend!🎃🍁

Both Gracie Kay and Abby made it to the Good Hands National Final!! Great riders from across the country were competing. They made it through round one. The championship is Saturday night. Cheer for these daring, courageous, pretty-darned-determined Timber Hills riders!

Shoutout to Ella Hartwick on completing a successful junior exhibitor career! We are so proud of how hard you worked to achieve your goals. Highlights this year include winning the Iowa State Fair equitation championship & earning top 10 finishes in multiple pleasure equitation national finals. We hope you carry the lessons you learned through riding into your bright future!♥️

Congratulations to Abby Van Kooten and her partner Dinero for accomplishing not just one, but TWO reserve national championship titles in St. Louis last week! Our local Leighton girl made us proud in the extremely competitive ASHBA and Saddle & Bridle national finals, and achieved the highest pattern scores in the S&B. We so admire her dedication and determination, and it sure paid off last week!

We are extremely proud of how Team THF did at the World's Championship in Louisville! All of our riders earned ribbons in deep competition and rode their hearts out. We hope you enjoy looking through these highlights from the week!

In her first year of competing at the World’s Championship, we are so very proud of Cameron for not only having the ride of her life but also earning a 6th place ribbon and a ticket to the junior exhibitor show pleasure 14-17 championship!! She was spectacular and Spencer proudly carried her around a ring he has also been a star in many times!💚

THF had quite the busy afternoon at the World’s Championship with 3 of our 4 riders competing today! We are proud to say that all three earned ribbons in deep competition. Avis & Raun as well as Gracie & Sully will be moving on to their championships later this week and we look forward to cheering them on. Abby and Dinero are ready to take on the pleasure eq finals in just a few weeks. Go Team THF!!

As the THF family is well aware, Avis and Raun tend to have classes with thrown shoes. And Louisville was no exception, with BOTH the qualifier and championship having timeouts to tack shoes back on. But scratches from Mark make the wait bearable! Thanks to Jody for capturing this moment!
