❄️ Cold Weather Tips for Pets ❄️
As temperatures drop, here’s how you can help keep pets safe and comfortable:
🐾 Bring Pets Inside
Whenever possible, keep pets indoors. Even setting them up in a bathroom or laundry room can make a huge difference.
🐾 Outdoor Pet Care
If pets must stay outside, ensure they have:
•A draft-free shelter with plenty of straw for insulation.
•Access to fresh, unfrozen water—use a heated bowl or replace water often.
•Extra food to keep up with the calories they burn staying warm.
🐾 Car Safety
Cats and small animals may seek warmth in car engines. Always bang on your car’s hood before starting it to avoid injuries.
🐾 Paw Care
Use pet-safe de-icing salt and clean pets' paws after walks to prevent irritation from chemicals.
🐾 Indoor Enrichment
For pets staying inside, try food puzzles or enrichment toys to keep them mentally stimulated and prevent boredom.

Our hearts are full and so will the pantry at Pender County Humane Society We thank all that have contributed and are planning to. This is going to feed and care for so many animals. Stay tuned for more pictures of the tree. We appreciate all that you are doing to make the season brighter for these pups and kitties.

We are excited to announce the new ownership of Splish Splash Dog Wash. First, we want to congratulate Laura on her retirement and thank her for working to make this transition smooth.

I have been working as a groomer at Splish Splash for the last 10 years and excited to take over as owner. I am looking forward to continuing to provide the same high quality and care for your pets with the great staff here that you know and trust.

We started Splish Splash 15 years ago because of our love for animals and we wanted a fun safe place for them to be pampered.

I am announcing my retirement- October 31 was my last day. I want to say Thank You so much to all of our amazing customers who have supported us through the years! I have enjoyed getting to know you guys and your fur babies and I am going to miss seeing you guys on a regular basis.

Splish Splash will NOT be closing- the business has been sold to someone who I trust to take care of it. You will still see the same faces. Please continue to support Splish Splash.

Again, I want to say Thank You from the bottom of my heart- I appreciate you guys!
