No doubt about it - dog intakes at your local animal shelter will go up immediately after July 4. This year has already started out as a difficult year and most shelters are already filled. Many shelters are asking for short-term fosters - even for just a week or two - to help relieve crowding during this difficult time. Please check with your local shelters and rescues to see what you can do to be part of the solution. Thank you and Happy 4th!
