Did you know that today is Change a Pet's Life Day? There are many ways to change a pet's life for the better, but the main reason for this celebration is to get more people adopting, sponsoring, or fostering pets. The first Animal Shelter was founded right here in Pennsylvania in 1869. If you are prepared to welcome a pet in your home you would not only change the pet's life but would change yours as well. As mentioned even if you can't adopt right now, fostering, sponsoring, volunteering, or donating to a local animal shelter would help as well. Below are some things you can do to celebrate.

With the freezing temperatures please remember that it is illegal in Pennsylvania for a pet to be tethered outside in temperatures before 32 for longer than 30 minutes. With temps in the single digits and below, pets should be kept inside and only out for bathroom breaks. Our rule is always that if it is too cold for you, it is too cold for them.
