Valley Animal Haven VALLEY ANIMAL HAVEN is the 40 year old "Dream Come True" of our founder - Pam Brasil. This shelter is dedicated to giving a voice to the voiceless.

Our founder, Pam Brasil, had a dream of one day having a shelter that would operate solely for the purpose of saving the lives of helpless and homeless animals. This dream was born when she saw a program about an animal shelter, in the Midwest, that had been destroyed by an arsonist because he hated dogs. Her heart broke at such human cruelty. There were 80 beautiful dogs destroyed in that fire. S

he purposed to some day have a safe HAVEN for dogs and cats. That dream has become a reality with the opening of VALLEY ANIMAL HAVEN. Pam, and her magnificent team, are dedicated to providing a safe, loving, and caring environment for abused, abandoned, and neglected animals in their community. VALLEY ANIMAL HAVEN is a fully approved 501(c)3 Non-Profit, NO-KILL shelter that works with other rescue and shelter groups throughout the San Joaquin Valley to help re-home as many animals as possible. There are tens of thousands of beautiful animals waiting for help. PLEASE join us in our mission to provide the help that they so desperately need and deserve. Our hope is that, one day, no dog or cat will have to suffer at the hands of abusive owners. We can accomplish this through community education programs, effective spay/neuter programs, and the never ending dedication of our shelter supporters.

💻 Sign up to volunteer by visiting our website at valleyanimalhaven.org. Hover over the ‘Ways to Help’ tab and click on ‘Volunteering’ to get started.

☀️ Playgroup takes place every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at our shelter. Playgroup gives our dogs a chance to stretch their legs and have some fun in the play yards. With so many dogs in our care, it would be fantastic to have more helping hands around.

🐕 Whether you’d be interested in safely getting dogs out and back into their kennels, hanging out with the dogs in the play yards, taking dogs out for a walk, or working with the dogs on our agility course, playgroup has something just for you! And don’t worry, our experienced and dedicated playgroup volunteers will help guide you through it.

❤️ So whether you’re a dog lover or just looking for a fun way to brighten up your week, come join our dog enrichment team today! We can’t wait to see you!

Hi Facebook Friends and Happy Wednesday. We are sending out a HUGE Thank you to the following people that generously donated toward getting new ground cover for our Central Bark play yards. The old ground cover had all but vanished into the dirt so these amazing folks combined forces and made it happen!! Thank you to Jeremy Hoskins, Vero Zambrano, Nena Salas, Veronica Salas, Diamond L Ranch, David Casida, and Addison Cuoto for your generosity. BIG Thank you also to Stoney's Sand & Gravel for always being ready to help us out with shelter projects!! NOW.....we need YOUR help!! That's a lot of bark to get moved from the pile into the play yards. We will have a work detail at 10a.m. this coming Friday and we're asking for volunteers to help move the bark. We are grateful for any help that we can get!! Please bring wheelbarrows and shovels if you have them. Thank you in advance for your willingness to help make our play yards a better place for our shelter pups!! 😃🐶🐕
