In a move to motivate more of our registered Alapaha Blue Blood Owners to represent the breed in a positive and influential manner. Current 2024 Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog of the Year standings.

Becoming the Alapaha of the year is simple.
The most championship points earned from January 1st 2024 until December 31st 2024.

How do you get championship points?

By proving your Alapaha through Health Testing (such as EMBARK, OFA, PennHip, and more)
Achieving temperament Titles (such as CGC, CGN, SPOT, and more),
earning working titles (such as Barn Hunt, SAT, Irondog, and more),
and through conformation events with the ABR or any other venue titles (only championship from other venues count)

We would like to thank UKC judge Lora Luce for evaluating our virtual Alapaha show!

She presented results extremely fast and was great at judging our registered Alapahas! Keep in mind it is the weekend so critiquing results will be received in a few days. If you would like the critiquing then just all you have to do is message us for them. Once we receive them we will respond back with yours.

We would also like to thank all of our participants! They did an amazing job today. Congratulations to everyone who placed and won their classes.

Please don’t get discouraged if your Alapaha Blue Blood Alapaha did not place. One thing we have learned that every judge is different and view things differently this is why it’s very important to enter in as many shows as possible to get a good overall impression of your Alapaha because show results will always vary and you can do well in one and not the other or vise versa. We encourage all owners and breeders to be respectful of participants and judges. This is a hobby for all because we are all passionate about our dogs.

Congratulations to TRK Lucille (black Merle) & 406 Undertaker “RIP” of RDA (black & white) . They tied for ABR’s Alapaha of the year runner up. Both are owned by Zach Martinez and Jessica Martinez. Operators of Red Dirt Alapahas who transferred over from the ABBA.

Congratulations to the MTA’s Axle on earning Alapaha of the Year for 2023
Axle compiled an amazing 1345 Championship points for this year. He earned title after title that his owner submitted for championship points. From trick dog masters to endurance titles, Axle and his owner represented the breed beyond any expectations. Their relationship, bond, and performance is ideal for this award. He is owned by Laura Alma Jane Brouk.

Alapaha of the year celebrates the Alapahas that either work, compete, and/or health tested in various ways for championship points that have been submitted for the past year of 2023. It highlights not only the Alapaha Bulldog but also the owners by promoting responsible dog ownership and important work in canine related matters as temperament training, health testing, and working abilities along side the bond between the owner and the Alapaha.

All ABR registered Alapahas are capable in becoming Alapaha of the year by submitting their titles, certificates, or health documents between 12/23/23 - 12/23/24. Documents can’t be counted twice and please refer to the point system for point information. It’s at the bottom of the pinned post on our page. Alapahas must be 12 months old at the beginning of the year.

We received some amazing news today!! We submitted all forms and journal entries when we renewed our partnership. Now it looks like Embark, at some point, will be including the Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog EDS variant to their embark panel! Of course please don’t think this is an overnight thing as the email reads that it can take some time.

2022 Kennel of the Year final standings.

2023 Kennel of the year will go by the following point system.
1 - Points for every dog registered or upgraded by the kennel.
2 - Points for each Litter registered
3 - Points for every dog entered into ABR/ABC events by the kennel (points will be recorded by registrar at the conclusion of the event)
4 - Points per health test, temperament title, working title, or conformation title earned by the kennel. Must by dated between timeframe. (Points will be recorded by registrar via the championship points submission link)
5 - Points for every ABR championship earned (points only will be earned when ABR championship title is recorded)

🔺Points will be accumulated from December 24th of 2022 - December 23rd of 2023
🔺Titles earned through the ABR or ABC will be automatically updated to KOTY upon certificate completion. Owner/breeder does not have to submit those certificates via the championship points submission.

🔹Alapahas that are health tested must be dated and submitted in that timeframe to receive KOTY points for the 2023 year.
🔹Titles earned from conformation or working (by any club or venue) must be earned, dated and submitted in that timeframe to receive KOTY points for the 2023 year.

This is absolutely a free incentive by the Alapaha Bulldog Registry.
All data will be recorded by the Registrar of the ABR, President of the ABC, and Secretary of the ABC ( William West )
A Quarterly report will be sent to the ABC Secretary for recording purposes.
Qualifications:
- Must be a registered ABC Code of Ethics breeder.
- Kennel must be in good standing with the ABR and ABC.
- Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldogs must be owned or co-owned by the operator(s) of the kennel to receive points.
- Acceptable health tests are Xrays with OFA, BVA, or PennHip evaluation, Embark, EDS, and Ichthyosis. Litters tested must be owned or co-owned by operator(s). (ABR health points of 25 or higher will only be counted)
Not accepted - single variant swab tests that is not listed.

Congratulations to Michelle Coakley Stockmaster, operator of Rebel Soul Alapaha Bulldogs for finishing with Kennel of the Year with our affiliated club, the ABC, finishing with 24pts. Building a successful kennel is no small feat. It takes patience, health testing, temperament testing, starting and adding qualified blood, hard work, and champion heritage. This prestigious awards RSA for that feat.

In its endless pursuit to recognize outstanding kennels that strive to go above and beyond for the breed. The purpose of the award is to celebrate those individual(s) whose dedication have led to significant contributions to our breed on the national and international level with competitive competition, health testing and performance. Awards those breeders who have dedicated their lives to improving the health, temperament and quality of the breed for the betterment.

The 2022 Kennel of the year standings will be posted tonight. You must be an ABC breeder to qualify.
