Meet another team member for our small animal team at Lena Vet Clinic and our other clinic location, Tender Loving Care in Freeport. Welcome Dr. Andres Ramos!

Andres Ramos, M.S., DVM, is a dedicated veterinarian from San Antonio, Texas. His journey into veterinary medicine began as a technician, fueling his passion for the field. He pursued his academic goals at Texas A&M University, earning a Bachelor's in Animal Science in 2015, a Master's in Biomedical Science in 2018, and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in 2023. To further hone his skills, he completed a small animal internship at North Carolina State University in 2024. Driven by a commitment to excellence in both medicine and surgery, Andres strives to provide the highest standard of care. Outside of his professional life, he is an avid fitness enthusiast who enjoys going to the gym, playing basketball, hiking, and camping. He also loves traveling and is a devoted fan of the Texas A&M Aggies and San Antonio Spurs, often spending time with his cats and dogs while cheering on his favorite teams.

Meet Dr. Anne Anibal. She is a new addition to the Lena Veterinary Clinic team. Dr. Anibal is a mixed animal veterinarian working with both our small animals and with large animals as well. Dr. Anibal graduated from the Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine, and she is looking forward to serving your animal health needs!

Due to current short staffing of small animal doctors, we are discontinuing after hour emergency services for small animal. WE ARE STILL SEEING SMALL ANIMAL PATIENTS during normal business hours. There are small animal emergency referral options in Madison, WI and Rockford, IL that you will be directed to when calling after hours for small animal emergencies. We apologize for any inconvenience, and appreciate your patience and understanding.
We are still providing our 24 hours a day, 365 days a year LARGE ANIMAL emergency services.

After 5 amazing years, Dr. Frits has announced with mixed emotions he is leaving the Lena Veterinary Clinic and Tender Loving Care.
