Hi Friends and family!!

The holidays are upon us and the sweet little piggies at the rescue are hoping that you might remember them during the holidays. We are in need of donations to help defray the cost of caring for 30 Guinea pigs currently receiving care in our rescue. This year we had a LOT of vet expenses. 3 surgeries and a variety of other things that required vet care. Nearly all vet expenses came out of my pocket and have required the use of Care Credit. The exception is one family, who chose to donate $500 towards the eye surgery Oreo needed to save his life. I’m so thankful for their generosity!! ❤️

However, the longer I run this rescue, the more I realize how important the rescue is for our community. The rescue provides a safety net for the small and furry, who have no voice and are considered “disposable” by people who don’t value their lives. Of course, there are some situations where families have fallen on hard times, and they are forced to make the hardest decision. That is to surrender their pet.

The following is a list of things we could use:
-tobramycin eye drops
-neo-poly-dex eye ointment
-paper bedding
-aspen bedding
-Timothy and orchard hay
-oxbow food, vitamin c tabs
-dried pea flakes
-1 cc syringes
-5cc syringes and 21x1 poly hub needles
-silver sulfadiazine cream (wound care)
-Revolution for puppies/kittens (need 30 tubes)
-baby gas drops
-fresh fruits and veggies donated each month (even a $10 donation of this item from 4 different people each week a month would be a tremendous help!

I’m not a registered 501c non-profit, therefore ALL expenses come out of my expenses come out of my pocket or donations. I’m save all receipts for medical bills and can provide documentation of expenses if anyone has questions. Any donations are GREATLY appreciated.

Hi all!
I’m trying something a little different. I have created a photo album exclusively for piggies available to adopt. Over the next few weeks, my goal will be to get pictures of all available piggies and place their picture in that album. As they get adopted I will remove pictures. I’m a teacher, so it’s going to take me time to get this completed as finals are coming, grades and a few IEP’s to sprinkle in with all of that! 🤪oh…and the holidays. So stay tuned and go ahead and sneak a look. 👀 there are a few long timers in there. Snickers and Brownie are still in foster and would love to have a home or their own.

**Bunny needs an experienced piggy owner. Due to some trauma in her past, she can be defensive. But she would dearly love to be the center of someone’s world and be treated like the queen she is.

Some piggies come to me and wiggle their way deep into my heart. Cookie was one of those little ladies. Cookie Monster was found by a dumpster in her cage on a chilly morning last April.

She was sassy and bitey. So she was not a good candidate to be adopted out, but that’s ok! I loved her little sassy self. Cookie always came to the door of cage and loved having her jowls scratched and her nose rubbed.

Yesterday morning when she didn’t come to the front of her cage for love, I knew something was wrong. I tried to help her but sometimes it’s not enough. Last night she passed lying on my chest, cuddled, loved and warm.

Popcorn free little lady! I will miss you. 💔 😢

These two lovely girls just came to me on Wednesday. The brown teddy is Ratatouille and the long blond girl is Macaroni. These sweet little ladies are unwinding and hanging out for now.

Re-sharing: Officer Judy might have a new home! She is simply the sweetest and wants to be a lap bun. Once spayed, she could have a husbun and hop into happiness! ❤️

This is Officer Judy. She has been at the rescue a while and would LOVE a home where she can have a more room to roam and a warm lap to watch movies. She is a couple years old and needs to be spayed, before moving to her new family.

BUT, here’s what she had to offer: a little sass, and lots of love. She is the sweetest rabbit I’ve ever met and loves attention. Judy loves treats and wants a family to call her own.
