New Cutting-edge Cancer Therapy Available!!

According to the National Cancer Institute, cancer incidence rates indicate that there are roughly 10 million new cancer diagnoses in dogs and a similar number in cats each year. Of those, only 1 in 10 pet parents seek consultation with an oncologist, let alone seek treatment. Regular checkups help screen for cancer or catch it in the early stages before it fully develops and possibly spreads throughout the body and is an important key to successful cancer therapy. However, not all cancer is easily identified or treated and may have invaded local tissues or even spread throughout the body, indicating the need for more intensive treatments for successful cancer therapy.
At Loudon County Animal Hospital and Laser Therapy Center, we are committed to staying at the forefront of cancer care for our patients. In addition to regular check-ups, diagnosis with cytology and biopsy, staging, surgery in house and referral, oncologist referrals for chemotherapy or radiation therapy, palliative care therapies as well as hospice plans, and we are now offering cancer immunotherapy for our patients through Torigen ( https://www.torigen.com/for-pet-owners ). This cutting-edge treatment is for our cancer patients where chemotherapy may have failed or was not possible, radiation therapy not feasible, traditional treatments are cost prohibitive, or when hope and options are limited.
By utilizing the power of a pets’ own immune system, a whole-cell cancer vaccine can be created, representing a diverse sample of cancerous antigens for individualized immunotherapy treatments tailored for a specific patient and their unique tumor. This aspires to provide more patients and their families who may have lost hope or are unable to pursue more traditional treatments—by changing the way cancer is treated in pets. If you are interested in this new cancer treatment for your pet, please visit the Torigen web site at https://www.torigen.com/for-pet-owners or call to schedule a consultation with one of our veterinary experts today.
