AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION. Kittens Josephine and Smudge came in through our feral program, but it's very cold outside and we thought they would rather have a nice warm home with one of you. They are warming up to people nicely, and they are available for adoption. But we have run out of food. We would appreciate donations of Purina kitten chow.

One question we get a lot is regarding the bulbus glandis on client's male dogs. What is it? Does it mean your dog is not neutered? Why is it there if your dog is neutered? Here is a good visual and some information from petmd.com regarding this tissue.

A structure called the bulbus glandis is located on either side of the base of a dog’s p***s. When a dog becomes aroused, the bulbus glandis swells with blood, creating two visible bumps beneath the skin. Erections can occur even if a dog is neutered. A full er****on may result in the entire engorged p***s and bulbus glandis extending outside of the prepuce.

**UPDATE: The owners have been located and are on their way!**

STRAY DOG FOUND! We found this dog running across Highway 321 around 5 p.m. last night. It is a spayed female with a collar but no tags and is not microchipped. Please contact the clinic asap if you know where this dog belongs! If no owner steps forward, she will have to be transferred to Loudon county shelter. 865-856-7729
